Spiller would be a good pick, not sure any of the defensive guys that will fall to us will be worth #12 but he may not be there Charles Davis , Kirwin and others have him rising and gone before our pick. I still like trading down and picking up another pick and getting Gerhart or hardesty
Ricky is likely done after this year and Ronnie may be also due to injury, so we need to land Spiller, Best, Hardesty, Gerhart or Ben tate in this draft. We have 9 picks.
The WR drop-off could be quick, unless we find a sleeper
Tate or Thomas
Pass Rushing OLB or Free Safety
Hardesty/Gerhart
We are good enough at RB to get us through another year or 2, can anyone say that about NT, OLB, ILB, WR, TE or Safety? Nough said, address RB next year!

'about NT'- SOLI looked good enough, FERG coming back after 8 games
OLB- 2nd round could easily address this need. HUGHES, maybe KINDLE, SAPP
ILB- does the name KARLOS DANSBY ring a bell?
WR- yeah how about CARLTON MITCHELL in the 4th, or maybe everyone reaches for their favorite defender and ARRELIOUS BENN will be here.
FS- MORGAN BURNETT in the 3rd
RB- CJ SPILLER is not only a RB, he's a terrific receiver, PR, KR. He's the one you dont wanna see on the JETS or PATS, running those Welker routes against our LBs. That should be our team expoliting the mismatches CJ could create.
Even before RBrown was injured this season my first mock had CJ SPILLER, for the reason mentioned previously-its a DEEP DEFENSIVE DRAFT.
Daytona, is anyone else drafting or do we get 1st pick for every round? I among others believe we needed 2 ILBs so yes Dansby fills one need but......and I dont think we need to start drafting to keep people away from the Jets/Pats, just my opinion.
next year when we're drafting 20ish (hopefully higher) Mark Ingram will be LONG GONE. You have to take advantage of our DRAFT posistion and take the #1 RB when you can...
Daytona I appreciate your passion for Spiller.....I just don't see us taking a RB that high. You take one at 12 and you would basically be cutting Ricky or trading Ronnie, don't see either happening. Way too many other holes to fill
'2 on the sideline watching the game in a baseball cap' - NO
KR-PR is just another way to get this guy touches.
My passion is not necessarily for Spiller, its for continued success in the RUNNING GAME. And my passion is also the pursuit of CHUNK YARDAGE something neither of our backs has been capable of recently...
1-CJ SPILLER RB *2011 RB Starter-2010 PR/KR
2-JERRY HUGHES OLB
3-MORGAN BURNETT FS
4-TORREL TROUP NT
6-JIMMY GRAHAM TE
IMO....Hughes will be gone before 43, Burnett should be gone in the 2nd, Troup might make it to 4 but someone will grab Graham way before 6 based on his speed. 6'6 260 4.5 speed? 4th round or before. Everyone is now looking for the next Antonio Gates.
I would rather take former Saluki...Abdul "Deji" Karim in a later round. 5'8 1/2" 210 lbs., 1,694 yards on 240 carries (7.1 average) and 18 touchdowns to lead the nation in rushing. 4.37 40 and jumped 2" higher than any RB at the combine.

Great. So Take a RB in rd 6 or 7.
Not at #12 when we esentially have our pick of the liter of who we want. We can fill a MAJOR void on our roster for years to come with the right pick. Picking a back-up RB at #12 who won't even play this year is foolish
I have watched almost every game of CJ Spillers career and as a Clemson Tiger fan, I will be the first one to say that Spiller is not meant for our team.
I love the guy, he is an amazing player and person. But he is not the player we need.
