You're right, he has nothing to gain. This is America, he's entitled to his opinion, and he should have nothing to lose by stating his. He was asked his opinion, and he gave it. Are you arguing that he should not have an opinion, or that he should not excercise his right to express it?
Also, it was just a statement of current fact. Read into it what you will.
Tim Tebow has 2 national championships and a heisman trophy. He has Peyton Manning's endorsement. Tony Dungy's. Steve Young's. John Elway's. I'm sure he really cares that Chad Henne doesn't think that he will excel as an NFL QB.

And then what? All I ever hear from people is that he needs 2 seasons before he can play. Well, ok, lets go with that. He gets drafted to a team that has an aging QB(seattle maybe), gets learned on how to play at the level. Is anyone here arguing that with proper time and coaching that Tebow isn't going to be a great QB?
Not just throwing mechanics. His senior bowl was the worst senior bowl in the history of the game. And he has trouble taking the snap from under center since he never did it in college. He struggles taking a snap!
Once again your arguing stuff that he has to be taught to do. He is no stupid like Jamarcus Russel, he can learn, and from what I hear quite fast! So needs to take more snaps under center, and keep doing his new throwing motion, untill it is automatic, thats it two VERY teachable things, to go along with A GREAT foundation, and you "ride the lightning" hehe. Come on man!!!
Byron Leftwich, Phillip Rivers, David Gerard, Bernie Kosar
.....how many examples you want.
All guys with "poor throwing motions" coming out of college that coaches all tried to change. And those guys never changed. Some went on to have succesful careers with their "old style" throwing motions. Others failed trying to change. But trying to change a guys "throwing motion" never works.

I wouldn't put Leftwich in that group. His issue is with his LONG delivery, which gives defenses time to adjust and often leads to sacks or ints. His delivery IS broken, hence his inability to hang on with a team as a starting QB. Kosar had a side-arm delivery, but he was also one of the most accurate QBs in the history of the NFL. That didn't hurt. I didn't realize Rivers had an odd delivery, but I haven't watched that much of him.

I can think of another guy who came into the league like that that was mildly successful: Michael Vick. You may be able to say the same thing about Vince Young. Problem is, I think BOTH those guys are much better runners than Tebow.

Both had STRONG arms, but BOTH had problems with accuracy due to their delivery. Vick was particularly bad early in his NFL career.
Per a league source, after the person administering the (wonderlic) test to Tebow's group, Tebow made a request that the players bow their heads in prayer before taking the 50-question exam.
Said one of the other players in response: "Shut the f--k up." Others players in the room then laughed.
Now that is funny! Reminds me of the backup QB on North Dallas Forty who was always preaching to everyone and then got drunk and cheated on his wife.

If that story is true, I don't want that bible thumper anywhere near my team. Thankfully we have 4 QB's and it won't be an issue!!!
I respect everyones relgion and all and they can do what they want, but if this idiot think its ok to show up to a test with a room filled of people and he's trying to push his relgion on others.....please!
You guys are coming off as nothing more than haters now. It's kinda sad really. Your opinion has been heard, repeatedly. You don't think he's going to be successful in the NFL, some disagree. Let's leave it at that.
