They've also had praise for a lot of guys they are coaching this week. I don't think it's any indication of any particular interest in specific players. NT, ILB, OLB, WR, and TE are all major needs for us, with FS, OG, RB, and even DE (if Merling is moved to SOLcool smiley as other possible needs. We know that, and every other team knows that. I don't think praising a few players at the Senior Bowl is giving away anything.

I think the big advantage with coaching the Senior Bowl is not the high profile guys, but the mid-late round guys. Everyone knows about the top guys. But, they may be able to identify some hidden gems this week, the kind of guys you can snag in rounds 4-7.

iam wondering how realistic this merling switch is ???
if it is then it effects our draft !

we may have to draft a 3-4 end to replace merling?

a guy like vince oghobaase or alex carrington has looked good in senior bowl practices, its a shame jared odrich will go in 1st/2nd round cause he looks good as well

i would still draft a nose what ever happens a cam thomas or torrell troup

I seriously doubt that the Dolphins have even established their initial draft board (positional rankings). But, I do believe that they are in the process of eliminating players that don't fit.

I believe that a handful of talented NT's are still included on the Dolphins top 150 players list and a couple of those guys could go as early as the 2nd round.

I just think it's a little too early to shoot up smokescreens with a new coach in place and with some of our own player evaluations not complete. What we decide to do at LB & saftey positions could most likely effect our strategy for drafting an NT. Having Fergason out there also gives us a plan B option in a similar way that the Patsies brought in Seau the past two seasons.

I would not worry about replacing merlin at end since he was not a starter. If we could move him to sam and he can play well then we are taking a guy from the bench to a starting rotation which is always good. Now rather than finding a starting sam we are looking for a bench end... a better problem to have.

Did anybody else notice that on traditional running plays, the North either passed or ran wide?

They simply did not run between the tackles when Cody was in.
