But he could (Pierre-Paul) possibly drop into the late 1st round maybe even early 2nd round. I just feel #12 is a bit too high. If we traded down, I am all for it..
Short and sweet, huh, A & O? I knew I'd get a rise out of someone.
Actually, I know the coaching staff would never take me seriously. I'm just getting in my pick for the sake of history, like I put it all out to draft Drew Brees.
Well when you argued to pick Brees, you actually had a legitimate argument. But to draft a RB, and only a decent one at that at #12, is hardly the optimal choice. I could only see that being a minimal argument at best.
We had a very unlucky year this year for injuries at that position. Even then, a late round pick is sufficient for any depth concerns.
Well Phinsfan, it looked like you were saying he is a cant miss prospect and I was saying if thats the way he was thought of then he would be a top 10 pick.
But I think what you are saying is that in *your* opinion Best is gonna be a star.

I'd run out and streak my neighborhood! McCLAIN is the essential choice for the future of our team. I would be ready to trade up 4-5 spots just to be certain. This means SPIKES the #2 ILB will be gone by our 2nd, IMO he's a late 1st early 2nd.
I think the 2nd round may be the round of the FS position, which may help BEST fall into our range. And taking BEST (before NE does) would provide insurance for the future of our run game.

seems that the powers that be like bigger backs. I doubt that we draft bess and I sure hope to the almighty that we dont draft spiller... what a waste of a uniform. His lack of production killed me in my college league.

We basically need a roster purge to eliminate overpaid backups. Having the NFL's 2nd highest payroll and missing the playoffs is not good. Last years draft was mediocre at best and we have to make up for it in 2010. We had no surprise performers as we did in 09 like Langford and Thomas. Pat White was a waste that high and Turner never saw the field. Hartline is a decent number two but will never be a stud.
Get rid of....Porter, Ayodele, Torbor, Jason Allen and Gibril Wilson.
Then we need starters at NT, OLB, ILB, FS and WR and maybe TE.
I think we have to get a NT at #12 and a starting WR in the 2nd or vice versa.

If we cut Ayodele & Torbor and don't draft an ILB in the 1st or 2nd round, who do we play at ILB? Crowder and a lower-round draft pick? I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Meanwhile we still have Soliai, Starks, and McDaniel that can split time at NT (assuming Ferguson retires). I realize NT is a critical position, but we'll get nowhere if we have only one ILB.
