Has V. Davis played FS before?

smith did not look like the better CB when he whiffed horribly on Jones TD. I think he was matched up on AJ b/c he is the bigger CB. I think he'll be pretty good but I don't recall him making many plays this year
They match him up every week on the best WR. Moss, Johnson, T.O., every teams best WR.
And once again, his lack of big plays is due most impart of the fact QB's rarely throw his way.
Vontae Davis gets the ball thrown his way alot, and for a reason. He has been picked on alot, almost every game. He does make plays, but he also makes mistakes.
Sean Smith hardly ever gets thrown too. Never gets picked on, and only had 1 bad game this season.
Pretty amazing for a rookie CB who started every snap since the first whistle during training camp.

And although Smith started since game 1, he shared snaps with Davis from the beginning. They rotated at RCB until Will Allen got hurt. But, Smith did get more snaps in those early games, enough so that he has been on the field for over 100 more snaps than Davis. It doesn't change the fact that he still has been thrown at over 4 times a game, and is allowing over 20 yards per completion. And that 20.1 yards per completion is the worst in the NFL among the 67 corners that have played at least half of their teams' defensive snaps. And in that same group of corners, he's allowing the 5th highest QB rating. And of those 67 corners, Smith is one of 14 without an INT. Smith is a rookie with a lot of promise, but lets not pretend that he has not been burned quite often this season.
