Why the heck is this guy soooo spotty?!?! he is obviously talented... he had one of his best games today... EVER. I saw a fight in that kid that i rarely see... why can't he show up every game like this? Man this guys is frustrating.... What do you guys think we should do with him? Keep him or trade him?

the fans are too hard on him.

He isn't great but the fans expect too much out of this guy. He didn't draft himself at #9 overall.....people hold that against him like he walked the card up to the comish in NYC and procalimed to be picked #9 overall

It's a shame that even when the guy has a good game he gets an "inconsistent" label.

He had a good game. He almost had a great game. What he finally did get today was opportunity...and he made the best of it.

It seems when they let the leash of Henne and the offense, Ginn gets going. When we are moving he is that extra gear.

these past few weeks he has been making sideline catches and coming through. Maybe its less pressure.

The problem with Ginn IMHO is his size.

He gets jammed at the LOS or pushed around by DB's and that throws him off of his routes disrupting any timing he may have with Henne. This size mismatch also gives the DB the advantage on contested balls. Add to that the fact that he has had some bad breaks and some dropped balls in big situations and you have irate fans.

If we had a big, fast, reliable, sure handed receiver to open up the field as our #1 then I think you'd see more productivity out of Ginn. Because he'd be singled up on most downs allowing him to use his speed to greater effect.

Combine that with an improving Hartline and a shifty underneath guy in Bess and we see a marked improvement in the potency of our WR's.

Beyond that, if the coaches don't bring in a "great ex-nfl" speed receiver to mentor and assist in developing Ginn this off season then they simply don't have a brain amongst them.

A four receiver set in the passing game with the following would be very tough to defend;

An A. Johnson, R. Moss, T Owens, L. Fitzgerald type guy.
Ginn.
Hartline.
Bess.

and with Brown or Cobbs in the backfield as an outlet it gets even harder to stop.

Ginn has shown numerous times now that can get open deep. The problem is getting him the ball when he does...without a penalty, drop or allowing the defender(s) to react to the ball.

Actually, fellow posters...Ginn was superb today, he almost had one gaff with a KO return, but other then that he had his eyes on the ball and every time I thought he was going to drop it, he caught it! If he could only play like this every week he'd be a keeper.

Ginn is a legitimate returner (on MADDEN 10) for the time being and he's under contract, at a mediocre rate. Thats ALL we should expect from him. Maybe a double-reverse option or two a year. Can't be trusted to catch the ball.

*Package him with JP and trade 'em to the RAIDERS.

I'd take a 2nd & 4th

I want to like him. But he made catches in MOP UP TIME today, didnt catch one on the goaline, and fumble a ko.

I think what Ginn needs most is a ture #1 WR on the opposite side of him.
