I think the list is pretty much BS, but I agree that both Davis and Smith would be first rounders in a re-draft. Nice to see that we actually to a 1st rounder who was worthy of the pick AND a second rounder who has outperformed his draft position.

now if only we could re-draft and take Loadholt instead of pat White.

Pat White wasnt a bad idea when the wildcat was going to part of us for years to come. It still may be when all three backs are healthy.

but we never used him to run the wildcat, even when everyone was healthy

If Pennington is done, he will be our backup QB. Just saying.

I think Thigpen is sticking around as Henne's backup but White stays listed as the #2 for wildcat plays (just like Henne earlier in the year). If they continue to run it i'd like to see Thigpen give it a go, good runner with a way better passing threat.

Only if he's healthy enough to play, and, if so, would he be ok being a backup? I'd LOVE to have him as the #2. He'd be our Don Strock!

Also, what is crazy about this list is the fact that, as the author wrote and most everybody in league circles agree, Michael Oher is playing better than any rookie in the entire league at any position. He is dominating at the right tackle spot.

I wrote a post before the draft about the possibility of drafting him if he fell (which I thought there would be no way in Hatie's he would drop that far, but he did) and having Jake Long on the left side and him on the right side for the next 12+ years....lining Carey at Guard, which is probably his more natural position and then our line would be the best in the league by far.


I can only imagine how great that would have been. Especially knowing Henne is a for sure QB and is definately the man.

Dont get me wrong, Im glad we got Vontae....but I can only imagine the possibilities of Oher lined up at RT for the next 12 years.

I think Thigpen is gone at seasons end

We had $153 mill invested in our oline heading into last years draft, taking another tackle in Rd 1 was never a serious option and it would have been a dumb move

It was a phenominal draft last year because VONTAE and SMITH were selected.

We would be sitting real pretty if we'd of taken C/G MAX UNGER at 2A
TE CHASE COFFMAN instead of TURNER...BUT WHOS COUNTING?

No....We should have taken Maualuga at 2A...NO DOUBT!

He has been a catalyst for the Bengals defense and he could be our starting MLB.

If we would have gotten him at 2A our Defense would be at the beginnings of being *SICK* for the next 10-12 years. With Maualuga, Davis, Smith, Wake, Langford & Merling.

what worries me is those stupid pats have 2 first round picks and one early cuz the trade with the raiders....could they trade up to get suh for the loss of seymore

that raiders pick isn't in next years draft.

They do have 2 second rounders this year though
