Count me in with Mizzou on this one:

1. If another team gets it done (perfect record), be the man and give them their due.

- It is tougher every week and you can see the mounting pressure

2. Have to also agree that if it were the Jets or NE I may need to make an exception, but not because of the performance but more so because the coaches and teams have not done it with class like both NO and Indy have this year, and how Miami did the entire season in 72.

- If either make it - My hat is off.
- If they don't I'll continue to relish the FINS only undefeated record.

3. Like there is room for many in the hall of fame, it does not diminish the 72 FINS (to me) if someone gets there.

- It takes talent and mental toughness. Not just a big ego like we saw with new England 2 years ago.

RESPONSE: I agree with everything that JC says above despite PhinFans2 attempts to put other positions in my mouth.

JC and I may disagree slightly on where to put the emphasis (he puts the emphasis on the current team and I put the emphasis, given the hard row we have to hoe on the Legacy) but I get the feeling that PhinFans2 would not have accepted the Colts losing as a consolation prize.

That's easy. Root for the Pats to loose.

We win the division, New Orleans advances, we advance, we face them in the Superbowl and we kick their asses, winning the Superbowl AND protecting the '72 Dolphins record in the most awesome scenario ever grinning smiley

Long posts debates may be best addressed in a PM

Not only that but in that post he contradicted THREE things he is saying now.

1. He admits that the division title is the easier way to get into the playoffs.

2. He admits he thinks we will lose to New England and

3. He thinks we will have a 6th loss.

Afterwards I posted to him how unlikely it would be to get into the playoffs with a sixth loss and that is when, out of context, he posted the material from above.

RESPONSE: No, shifty. I said that I would give up this year's slim chances of making the playoffs to preserve the legacy and that's why an Indy win over Balt was more important to me. But even then, I was saying that getting the wildcard over what was then 8 teams ahead of us was not worth throwing away the '72 legacy. So not only are you switching words but you are switching time, i.e., switching the contexts in which those words were spoken.

RESPONSE: Well, your whole premise was that we were likely to lose to the Patriots but beat the Steelers.

Now either you have to be a Patriot lover or SOMEONE WHO FEARS THE PATRIOTS TO A PSYCHOLOGICAL DEGREE to fear them more than THE WORLD CHAMPION PITTSBURGH STEELERS!

Has your fear of the Patriots had you forget that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the world champs?

Hey, folks, now watch him pull out the fact that Roethlisberger is injured and work that in to demonstrating that last week when these posts were flying ChyrenB must have been an idiot for fearing Pittsburgh because as everyone knew then, Rothelisberger was GONNA GET HURT that future Sunday.

That's just how you play with time. Like I said, I need you to start a law firm!

And as far as your statement about Ronnie is concerned, we disagree on that, read my last post on the Ricky Williams thread.

Ronnie is a very good back.

Ricky is a GREAT back.

Ronnie makes good runs when the line opens a hole similar to the one that God opened in the Red Sea for the Children of Israel.

If Ricky jukes and slips one guy, he is gone!

The wildcat works with Ronnie because of the confusion factor, not because Ronnie Brown is such a great back.

Ronnie Brown is a very good NFL back that comes along to teams on a regular basis.

Ricky Williams is of a much higher caliber.

Everyone was surpised at last week, I guess, but me.

I knew Ricky would show his greatness again if given the primary role.
