Its unfortunate for Ginn and White. Those two guys have no chance to some people.
Im not against either guy, why? Because they wear a Miami Dolphin uni. I root for them...I cheer for them. I hope they take us to the Superbowl...as every other player on our team.
You know whats funny and kind of irks me the wrong way, most of the guys around here who hate Pat White and Ted Ginn love Wes Welker who by the way is a New England Patriot. Now that just doesnt make sense.
Just because horrible coaching in the past gave Welker to the Pats doesnt mean the guy isnt another great man on, and off the field. It still piss'es me off when i think about that trade!!! I wouldnt mind keeping Ginn, if he returned kicks, but since he cant catch consistantly, wont take a hit, and doesnt return kick's, which was his specialty he has little value.

Well if you must know, i would send Ginn, and a 2nd round pick to San-Fran to aquire Crabtree, and pay him what he wants. I would give Henne alot of games to see if he can deliver, and if its not what i expect, i trade him to either, STL, TAMPA, SEA, for a possible 2nd, or 3rd round pick. This of course is if we have a horrible record, that way i would go after Bradford, or Tebow in the draft, and i would also try to trade Thigpen, for a no less than a 6th round, same for white let them fight for it. Winner is kept as a solid backup, and would also resign Pennington pending if his arm is good enough to produce.

When has a player that has shown he is all about money EVER been super productive??
Now, you want somebody with a me-first/money-first attitude who has never played a single down in the NFL and you want to make him one of the top 10 paid receivers in the NFL??
No, Thanks...
I'd take a flyer on him in the second round next year... (and offer him 2nd round money) If he wants to suck it up, swallow his pride, and come to PLAY, I'd take him. Otherwise, he sit at home watching games, and be the catalyst for a rookie slotting system in CBA negotiations next year.

I liked crabtree as a college player, but his agent has put his head where the sun don't shine.
By the time he get on the field he'll have an uphill climb like Mt Everest and be sitting on a year of rust.
Like grooves said if he's there in the second round great, unless he has a serious head cleanout I don't see him being drafted in the first round next year.
"I however think that scutiny is indeed due because he has had MANY chances to show what he has (Ginn)."

See, this is where people put on the blinders at. Every game this season Ted Ginn has beat the coverage deep. Against Atlanta, Indy & San Diego Teddy had the coverage beat and Penny was unable to get him the ball.
If these passes connect we are talking about atleast 3 more TD's and people saying he is having a pro bowl season. But guess what?? He is obviously too fast for Penningtons arm and him being too fast is his fault. Thats obviously what you are saying.
He has presented our offense with opportunity after opportunity for a big play and we have not been able to connect....EVER!!! EVER!! EVER!!!
I have honestly lost count at how many times Ginn has been atleast 3 steps behind the defense and we have NEVER been able to connect....its unfortunate for him, us as Dolphin fans and our offense.
Hey A&O, it doesn't do any good if Ginn beats his coverage if he can't catch the ball. Pennington HAS connected with Ginn, and Ginn has dropped the ball!! If the ball hits him in the hands, he MUST catch it!! This isn't pop warner. He's a professional making millions of dollars. I could care less if he outruns the coverage. If that was the measuring stick, then NFL teams would have been clammoring to sign Carl Lewis back in the 80s!
Well if A & O is right, we should see Ginn succeed soon, as in this week.
Buf has their top corner out and are relatively weak in pass defense.
- BTW so are we.
- Look for them to test us deep often, and to also throw underneath to the TE too, as that has worked for everyone else against us.
Back on point, if Henne gets some time we should see some long passes completed.
Ginn does have a lot to prove, both this week and against more elite defenses. let's hope he removes doubt for all, and soon!

Tell me one time Ginn had coverage beat deep and he dropped the ball. Tell me one. DOnt make it up either because this will be researched.....go ahead and tell me. Tell me one fly pattern that he had the coverage beat deep and he dropped the ball. Im waiting.
Note to everyone here........I understand ginn hasnt been playing well and dropped some passes. That been said, its impossible to catch a ball
when its overthrown.
Pennington is not accurate throwing deep. And hasnt been able to connect once with ginn on a deep bomb ever since he's been here.
Ginn has dropped numerous passes in the last 2 games that HIT HIM IN THE HANDS!! These passes weren't broken up by the DB. Ginn just dropped them! Also, why is it other WRs dive for the ball when it's a little outside their normal reach, and Ginn just puts out his hands and lets it fall? The whole point about a completion is it requires 2 players, not just 1. Heck, Sean Smith catches better than Ginn!!

Yes thats a good point too. He is afraid of contact no doubt.

What exactly makes Ginn better than Hartline at this point?
I asked you specifically about him running fly patterns and the ball getting there and you still didnt give me an answer. You told me about balls he has dropped in the past 2 games, but guess what?? None of them were fly patterns like I asked you.

So that's his only role on offense? Running fly patterns?
Really? Did you read my posts? I predicated my position on Ginn's speed.
Hartline is one of the slowest WR's on our roster.
I love Hartline. I want to have him on the field.
Combine results.
Hartline ran a 4.52 40
Ginn ran a 4.37 despite his ankle not being fully healed.
In college Ginn ran in the 4.20's and was expected to break the Combine record prior to his broken ankle.
Some consider him one of the fastest people in the NFL along with Hester & DeAngelo HAll.
If Hartline was even a 4.45 runner he would have been drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round. He has great hands and runs good routes. But without speed on the field to stretch the coverage; he doesn't have as much room to work with.
Youd think the coaches have confidence in henne...Leading by 17....start of the second half.........First play henne drops back and connects with hartline for a 15 yard completion.
Well, 1 catch for 4 yards. Not exactly a great stat line for Ginn. Meanwhile, Cam, Bess, and Hartline were our leading receivers! So, you can't say we didn't throw to the WRs!! Ginn wasn't there. He didn't produce.
