Normally Realist starts this type of thread but he must be slacking so I figure I would do it this week.

Positives:

D-Line did a good job of pressuring the QB I think Wake could be a special player for us but I always like to see consistency in a player before I start calling him great.

Rookie corners are moving along nicely and I expect them to get burnt along the way but they are difinately better than Allen when we drafted him.

Our D in general did a nice job today

Henne manage the game well he did not make dumb decisions and did not really force the ball when he had to he took the sack. Nice crisp passes and the long throw will come with Chemistry.

Our running back tandem is scary good. For those two I will sing praises cause they have shown they can play year after year.

Negatives:

Our receivers did an ok job but nothing to write home about. I really dod think we need to pick up somebody who is a true #1

Our offense of line did a nice job but gave up four sacks and on two of them the defender came in untouched. Still not sold that our O-line is as good on the field as they are on paper.

Special teams make me nervous they came close on a couple of plays

Overall good game

Negatives...

Vernon Carey in pass protection & Ted Ginn.

other positives...

Kendall Langford & Tony McDaniel. KL has progressed a lot from last year and looks like a stud.

Henne will continue to get better with a strong running game and run defense (top 3) like we have. CH spread the ball around like CP. If he can continue to avoid the T/O's he will be fine.

Wildcat (you know...the fad, fluke formation? lol)

We'll just agree to make Ginn a permanent negative until he proves otherwise

I'll give you White, but Ginn? We have 3 years of reasons not to like him.

lol, thanks for picking up the slack smileys with beer

I agree with your assesments.

As for the #1 WR thing. Ginn still has the speed to get behind the secondary. If Henne can connect with him for a TD once in the next little while, it will open things up for the others. I wish we had that guy that nobody can cover...but, for now we need to maximize what the others can give us.

Ricky & Ronnie looked great...but also a little tired. I wish in the 4th they would have given Lex Hilliard a couple carries.

How about platooning all 4 RBs? It would certainly keep the other team guessing drinking smiley
