I grew up in the Northeast. I'm a Dolphins fan through and through.....but I grew up loving Terry Bradshaw and the Steel Curtin. I'm a Huge Pittsburg fan.
First 14 seconds into the game the Center Pouncy (who is usually rock solid) hiked the ball into the endszone on the opening snap. Biggest bonehead play from a playoff team I've ever seen.
Ben Roethlisberger through for 501 yards and four touchdown passes. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson both totaled well over 100 receiving yards. Problem was.....he had 4 turnovers. The Browns and scored on every one of them. Some were good passes , that last one was not. The running game was still basically non-existent however the Steelers were down so much they couldn't run the ball. Drops were still an issue for a majority of the receivers.
The defense was rested, they brought back Robert Spillane, the only people that were missing were Joe Haden on the COVID list and Bud Dupree and Devin Bush who are both recovering from torn ACLs. ....but this game was lost completely on an offense who kept turning the ball over.
Coaching was terrible as well. Choosing to live in your fears and punt in bad situations is unforgivable. It’s the playoffs you have to play to win the game........especially when you are down by 14-16 points.
This had nothing to do with resting players were were injured on the defense. All to do with 5 turnovers by the offense.
If the Jets pass on Fields at the QB position the Steelers might be a team looking to pay us big time to move up for a QB in Big Bens's last contract year .
GO DOLPHINS!!!!
