The Dolphins recently used a transition tag on O.V.

Do teams have one franchise tag and one transition tag or do they only get one or the other? If we can only use one or the other I have serious reservations about what we did with OV.

What difference would that make? If you think OV is worth 15+ mil a year then this looks like a stupid move, if you're in the camp that thinks he's worth about 12 mil a year and you're not willing to overpay for him then this move is OK. Not sure how using one or the other (or both) has to do with it?

You can only use one tag out of the three in any given year.

If we sign a replacement in FA can we remove the tag?

We cannot remove it if OV signs it. Once signed it is fully guaranteed.

If he refuses to sign and gets no offers, we can rescind but then he becomes a FA instantly.

When the Browns gave it to Alex Mack, he negotiated an offer sheet from the Jaguars with a provision allowing him to void the deal after two years. Now he has voided the deal and is a FA after two years.

We are either losing him or stuck with whatever deal he signs with another team or keep him at the 12.7 mil if he signs it.

i wish we could ditch pouncy and sign mack. i still think pouncy is the weak link on the interior of our line.

h thats when people realize pouncey is key on this Oline.

Really what games? This year? Last yer?

Pouncey has had notable problems with the shotgun snap since before he came into the league and it's popped its ugly head up since he's been here.

He's never had a problem as pronounced as Douglas did, however.

I rather have pouncey back there than any other scrub..............


Who ever says we need to cut pouncey is probably related to cam cameron or joe philbin......has the same genes at least.
