The Salary cap charge is $6.2M. Miami is paying Dion Jordan $3.2M, most of which is a roster bonus. This is a contract year for Jordan so maybe he will bring his A game.

Miami is paying him $6.2m. $2.9m of that has already been paid. The $3.2M will be paid this year.
Depending on what happens with Jordan, we may get credit back to our cap. For instance, he will have to pass up to 10 drug tests per month. If he cannot do that, he will be given an indefinite suspension and will be released by Miami. At that point they will collect the $3.35 million in past signing bonus and they’ll get a salary-cap credit.
Also, this is not a contract year for him because he earned no credit for 2015....meaning we still own his rights for two more years.
The one thing I am unsure of is this....
He did not earn FA credit for 2015 or earn any of that money. He could be playing 2016 for his 2015 money. That would be $5.2M instead of the $6.3M
He was suspended 6 games in 2014. I'm not sure if that is enough to accrue a full season of FA credit.
He made $13.7M in 2013, $1.2M in 2014 and 585k in 2015.
It's all very confusing.

He has to be reinstated first and that cannot happen until April, I believe. For that to happen he will have to pass a drug test and then up to as many as 10 drug tests per month.
NOBODY has had any contact with him. Not management nor players.
The thing I am wondering is if the Dolphins security has had him under surveillance. That is not an uncommon thing in the NFL. If there is an optimism to be gained from this, it's that Miami has not gone after him for back money or released him. That sort of infers that they are getting good reports form security.
He would also have to be working out and in great shape.
I wonder how much of that 15.5 mil he has spent. That could be added motivation...but not necessarily for the right reason.
Well PFT is reporting we're the front runners to sign Mario Williams and it may happen today. If so I agree. Rescind OVs tag and get a comp pick.
I wouldn't get rid of Wake if we rescind it. I'd wait until the 2nd week of FA and get a reasonable priced FA DE to put a little pressure on him. Williams has played and produced on both ends.
Teams cannot even talk to OV until tomorrow so it's highly likely they rescind. Also signing Williams does not count against us for comp picks since he was cut.
They must be bat shit crazy! That's $18.8M per year.
I really don't get what they are trying to do there. They are running the 4-3 under and already have....
LDE Jared Odrick
DT Tyson Alualu (just resigned for two yrs)
UT Roy Miller
RDE/LEO Donte Fowler
They also have Sen'Derrick marks coming back as DT or UT.
Now they have signed Malik Jackson to take over for Alualu I presume and will have OV as the LEO in addition to the #3 overall pick from 2015. They also have Mike Bennett from Ohio State 2015.
They must be getting ready to release some D-linemen.

ESPN got fooled on that fake tweet, but the final contract wasn't far off either. 5 years $85M with 52.5M is crazy money.
