No surprise about Coples since he has a huge contract but they have obviously given up on McC. He was only scheduled to make 600k. Time to stop wasting time on these stagnant players anyway. We save 7.75 mil with Coples.
Senior personnel executive Eric Stokes was fired today as well. He came with Hickey.

McCain was a very good slot corner with the steelers so instead of playing him there we put him on the outside.
I don't agree with that move especially with his salary. Put him at the right position and he'd be fine. Cheap veteran depth at one of our weakest positions.
Does us being over the cap by 3.5 million include the roughly 9+ million in carry over from last year?

The financial cap condition of this team is absolutely horrific.
Even Ross the Clown should have enough brains to see that overspending while underperforming is a sure sign your organization is horribly managed.
Sure looks like this ship needs to sink even further before there's any legit hope for a serious rise...
Hope I'm wrong -- but man it's hard to invest any belief as long as Ross owns the product.
As far as OV, I said a while back we needed to get a deal done well before the critical stages and of course we missed.
In retrospect, we can ALL clearly see that signing Suh was a titanic mistake -- way too much $$$$ buried in one player -- breaking the bank and telling kids like OV your best bet is elsewhere.

thanks, I was optimistically hoping it wasnt though.....
We get rid of Greg Jennings, Misi and Jordan Cameron or restructure him, should help a bit.. But we have a long way to go... We better draft well this year....

The FA market is growing more each day. Charles Johnson, Daryl Smith, Roddy White, Marques Colston all newest cuts. The more DE's that get cut the better chance we have of keeping OV.
Mario Williams, Chris Long, Charles Johnson all on the market.
The fact that the Ravens cut Smith makes me think they could have their eyes on Ragland or Jack in the draft. Two Bama LB's in the middle? More likely to take Jack at 6.
Although it doesn't seem as tho Grimes and Wake are willing to restructure their contracts, they should.
Grimes is up in age and is short. He didn't have a very good 2015.
Wake is coming off his Achilles and is 34 years old. I highly doubt he will find any team willing to pay him that. Needs to finish his career with Miami.
Both of these players should sign an incentive based contract. Would be fair for both the players and the team.
Disagree. Restructure Cameron. You do know that we have to replace everybody we cut, don't you? We have too many other positions to fill with competent talent to waste money on FA's to replace guys that ARE competent.
Cameron is a talented TE with the potential to be elite. He has done it before. He is also WAY overpaid at this point. His cap hit is larger than Gronk's and several other top TE's. They NEED to restructure/extend. 9.5 mil is too much.
Considering the way he played last year with all those drops, he should be willing to decrease his cap hit.
I'm sure Gase would love to utilize him as an actual receiver in his offense instead of an offensive lineman. We are already losing Tannehill's second favorite target in Mathews.
Brace yourselves for many WTF moments over the next week.

Where did you read the terms of the restructure? Do you have a link and a source, I cant find the terms anywhere....

I hope Wake restructures his deal as I wish for him to return to the Fins.
If he tests the waters I'm sure he will see that he isn't as valued as he thinks he is. But then again, there is always one team that is willing to take the chance.
If Wake leaves I hope he goes to a super bowl contender (as well as Grimes). These 2 ave 110% whenever they suited up for us. As long as its not the Patriots, Bills or Jets.
