Maybe my interpretation of what Montique posted was off, dolphan4545, but here is what he said:

"We will likely be drafting in the top 6. This isn't a great offensive draft, but maybe we can land someone?"

I took it the way I did as this was a thread concerning Tannehill, he was talking of a top 6 pick, and voicing that maybe we (Miami) can land someone?

Exactly Cap. Look at the thread title for all you need to know, and its not warranted. 3-4 new offensive decent Olineman and this is a new offense with a decent coordinator.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

What a waste that would be. There are many more positions I would address before QB. In my opinion, it should be:
1.) inside LB;
2.) LT;
3.) DB;
after that, BPA - and I wouldn't be too upset if a QB was taken somewhere in there.

Well, I still don't agree but I can put up with him for another year if the new coach and staff can.

So do we all.

We should be looking for a QB. Not in the first round but afterwards. After all, Matt Moore must have a foot long beard by now.

He isn't the answer. Take Kevin Hogan in the 3rd or 4th

If we land a Top 5 pick we need to trade it down. Pick in the Top 20 , trade it again.

After that land the Best Oline , MLB , and CB prospects with all the extra picks. The team will improve greatly if just 3-4 of them start.

With extra picks, and only if we can acquire extra picks, grab a QB if one is available in the 3-4 rd. Competition is always a good thing.

Offense , all we need is Oline and blocking tight ends and FB's. that's it. After that it should be all defense. Our defense lacked any heart.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Would help if the decent players we do have could play more than a few games without getting hurt. A refund for Dion Jordan would also be nice sad smiley

I warned on the Dion Jordon thing ......But I don't want to say I told you so. eye rolling smiley

Again you raise a good point , all the draft picks in the world wont mean a thing if you pick the wrong players for your team. I would like Campbell to stay on because I think 1 off season with his type of conditioning and mental aspect will greatly reduce the type of injuries we are seeing. He knows football from a different perspective and has managed to keep himself in incredible shape. But Tannenbum will make the wrong decision. I guarantee it .

Treasure, I understand your point and (somewhat) agree with it.

As I have said before, I believe Campbell will make a good HC, but not at this time. He has a lot to learn about being a HC, and to help him along, he would need some really good coordinators. Again, as I have mentioned, DC, IMO, will not be able to lure any quality coordinators to the Fins. Granted, he could get lucky with no-names that surprise everyone, but it is highly unlikely.

Looking at the HC market, I don't see any really strong candidates out there. There are some good candidates, but no great ones. Of course, if someone is out there that is great, he is already a HC.

The only one I would consider "great" is Jim Harbaugh. He has proven what he can do. Whether or not he is willing to leave Michigan or if he is even interested in the Miami job (because of the fiasco a few years back) I don't know. However, when there is a pile of green laid out in front of him, he may change his mind.

Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on the reports concerning Miami's coaching search.

Here's where I would go; (I also wouldn't let "any of them" be the GM as well as the coach)

Category 1. Previous Super Bowl winning coaches - Jon Gruden (Isn't happening)

Category 2. Recently fired HC's - Chip Kelly

Category 3. Might be fired HC's - Sean Payton

Category 4. Retread HC's - Jim Schwartz or Jim Mora Jr.

Category 5. College HC's - Gary Patterson (TCU), Jim Harbaugh (Mich) or Mark Dantonio (Mich St)

Category 6. NFL Offensive Coordinators - Josh McDaniel's or Mike Shula

Category 7. NFL Defensive Coordinators - Romeo Crennel or Sean McDermott
