If we had a qb that can hit open receivers then we could score a lot of points and win more games......

Thats all there is to it....

We won against the ravens only by 2 points..

Thank god the defense almost pitched a shoutout.

Or else we would had lost.

Any other QB and I'd say he's familiar enough with his receive that he knows the guy can "go up and get it" when it's high, but, yes, I agree. It was a bit of luck on Tanny's part.

Accuracy is OK... needs more time and a dedicated running game. Oh, and blockers for said running game. Now accuracy on the deep balls is an entirely different subject.

If you recall, Sam and everyone else, that Marino, as gifted as he was, also said that he had confidence in his guys (i.e., the Marks Brothers) that he could just throw the ball and he knew they would come up with it.

RT had confidence in Parker that he knew if he got the ball in Parker's vicinity, that he would come up with it.

A QB has to throw the ball, much of the time, depending on the D Linemen in front of them. He often times has to get the ball up high to get it over the out reached hands of the defenders.

Wow. Any of those guys you mentioned starters? Except for Murray, I believe all of them had their chances and it didn't work out, which is why they are backups, and you want them to be starters for the Dolphins over a guy who has been setting Dolphins (and NFL) records since he got here?

Kevin Hogan is a starter for Stanford. Murray is like Moore, isn't going to start over a QB the regime invested big $ in o his Rookie contract

So the front office (Tannenbum), who JUST rewarded Tannehill with a new contract is "on board" with drafting another high round QB?

One more example of the dysfunction of this front office.

I had heard that there was a disagreement between the FO and coaches about the future/ability of Tannehill but never heard which side was pro or con.

From what I've read the FO was pro Tannehill. The coaches not so much.

And, assuming that's true, JSM08, in what Bizarre world would the front office NOT defer to the coaching staff as to a player who is ON THE ROSTER as opposed to a guy out there that is being considered for drafting or signing as a free agent??????

Only the Miami Dolphins. We are becoming the Miami Dull-phins.

If the FO is pro-RT then why are they looking for another QB? The whole thing makes no sense but you know hoe these "stories" get out there. Most of them are complete BS.

If the "coaching staff" was anti-RT, I have a feeling it was just Lazor. He is just another coach in a long line of coaches who try and force the player to fit the system instead of visa versa. The problem being his "system" was untested beyond one flukey year.

The guy obviously didn't "get it" or he would have realized this line is more effective run blocking than pass protecting....AND we have a back who can be dynamic. It's mind numbing.

I'm sick of these self-serving "polls". We won't draft a QB on the first day, but I don't think it has to do at all how much- or little- Tannehill shows the rest of the season.

Yeah, Joe, it is bizarre.

It was a good article by Salguero. I'm too lazy to go find it.

I watched Ross, Tannenbaum and Marino shake their head in disgust at how Tannehill played in the last qt last night.... From what I saw of their body language, they are done with Tannehill...

I did notice that Marino had Ross's ear most of the game last night.. It sure seemed like he is getting more involved in the football aspect of the team...

On the totally lame note, Ross had security block off the access out front of his box. He made all the fans paying big money for 50 yard line club seats, walk down to the next concourse level to get beer, food or bathrooms... People were disgusted with that crap... It was very odd, even the security who was paid to block access, were shaking their head in disgust at what a moron Ross was being about access. Also how out of touch he is as an owner, who just continually pisses off the fans....

Dropped passes were a standard last night. Is the QB at fault for that. Honestly the TE's role is to block most of the time. WR's are supposed to catch the Football. It seems that the TE's are performing much better in that department. Jordan in particular. The only problem I see with Ryan is that he is a nice guy. If I was him, I would go Campbell and say this: Hey, coach my RB's and WR's suck extra big". In other related news: what the heck was #34 at the WR position. Taller men are more talented to catch the ball.

Offense looked OK with Tannehill running... wonder why they stopped?

A weak OL, behind 7 points, 1 WR to throw to, average TEs,average QB accuracy and the Giants with their ears pinned back to rush the QB. Every pass in the 4th looked like Tannehill was hurrying to get rid of it. With a team/game/player like that things are always going to get nasty in the 4th.

Maybe the Owner and the Gm were looking at printouts or screens with their free-agent moves, re-signings, and drafting... I would shake my head too after looking those stats over.

Right after throwing up.

Tannehill had a chance to tie the game in the last few minutes with a wide open receiver with a clear path to the end zone and he over threw the guy by a lot... It wasnt even a difficult pass, he just missed him... You cant have that type of mistake with the game on the line from your franchise QB.... end of story... that is when the trio (Marino, Tannenbaum, Ross) got up and left the box in disgust...

Saying 1 pass to get a possible TIE as the straw that broke the three amigos back is just silly.

If you don't give up running your QB with a solid HB running... you are not even in that position.

Ross can't complain about anything.
T-baum hasn't done one single thing right that I know of.
Marino... doesn't he have something better to do than hang out with those two?

Agree about forsaking the run game, I just don't understand that one...But Tannehill isn't off the hook. ALL THREE 4TH QTR drives ended in poor throws for incompletions. The last 2 especially were painful to watch, both overthrows of open receivers who had the first down in Giants territory...as was said the last one wasn't even close. Those are the situations when a QB makes a name for himself, ours is mediocre, like most of the rest of the team.
