He looks like Flavor Flav minus the clock back in the hype man Public Enemy days..... The rapping or singing or whatever that was called needs some serious work though....

Hey! The guy DOES have a sense of humor! This makes me feel so much better about him.

Really, I do. I'm not being sarcastic. You gotta be a human to coach a football team. I have always felt that was missing.

TCp- If you polled all the players on the team and asked them which current movies would you most want to see, 90%+ would have said Straight out of Compton... That is the point.... He was in touch and responsive to what they wanted while away from their families and home... It isnt about which movie Philbin wanted to see... ANd by Philbin watching it with them, he is showing that he cares about not only himself but also about what they want... It wasnt a learning experience, it was a bonding experience... Kind of like if you listen to what your kids want to listen to on the radio on a road trip... It is a respect, understanding and relating thing.... That doesnt go unnoticed by your kids...

Agree 100% crowder, seems like Philbin can do no right in some fans eyes. I get it all that really matters is wins/losses, but not sure how you can fault the guy for trying?

LOL....yes he is.

first off, it wasn't a called timeout, it was a challenge.

Secondly, PHilbin has been pretty much prefect in challenges for 3 years and you want to get on him for a PS game?

thirdly, If you want to play the "IF" game, why not get to the core of the issue? How about....what if Taylor didn't fumble in the first place?

4th and final: Ron Rivera said after the game that he would have challenged if JP did not so it would have been reversed anyway.

the whole rap thing is a bit of a risk, but a calculated one I'm sure.

He wants to show that he's not as boring and inflexible as is his reputation, yet he doesn't want to come off as a complete goofball who has no dignity (and wouldn't earn respect).

Question is can he outrun the black guy?

Pay for pre season games?

You lost me there.

You mean if you have the dish and live out of state of FL you have to pay for pre season games?

Sad. It should come with the NFL season package.

The pay is for seeing it live on nfl.com. I have the Sunday Ticket from DirecTV but preseason games are not included. Now the NFL channel does eventually show all games but not live. I saw part of the last game (Carolina) because it was shown on the NFL channel at Midnight.

The difference there being waiting for evidence to convict as opposed to manufacturing evidence for the hell of it.

NFL owners are such money grubbing bastards. Last year you were able to get the PS package for $20. This year they rolled the PS into the GamePass package so it now cost $100. They offered a one week free trial and I signed up and cancelled. This week my buddy did the same thing....so we got to watch 1st two games.

Sam you are right. NFL ticket subscribers SHOULD be able to watch PS games for the $250 we have to fork over.

Yes he can. He can start by being a competent coach first.call the right timeouts. Manage the Fing game. Tony Sparano was pretty well liked. Win some Fing games and make the playoffs before you put on a tux and tails and start rapping badly.

I don't believe Plilbin is the right man for the job. I artie at that conclusion from last year's losses that should have been wins if not for his decisions. Just like Saturday nights game.

I'm not giving him an inch until he gets the results this team deserves.
STFU Philbin and learn when to throw a flag and call a timeout. If it's another coaches fault , get on them! Not the time for stupid shows and thug movies......just my $0.02.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Its truly sad. I feel for all those who have to pay so much to watch NFl games...

So glad i live close to the stadium....About 7 blocks away.

If i lived in another state i would pay to watch phins games as well.

But on a serious note i can't get over the dam timeout......My head almost exploded when he called it on 4th down...

I had a couple of buddies watching the game at my house and we all went WTF?

He will learn from all this and get better as far as calling plays and timeouts...

And you know what....Good thing this didnt happened in the playoffs or the superbowl.

It will not happen this year.

I think barrying any more injuries we will definetely make the playoffs this year.

But the schedule is not easy. We have some really hard games. And on the same note we have an improved roster.

How good or great we do depends on the play of tannehill. Knock on wood.

Joe Philbin has NOT been a competent coach. Lots of really bad things have gone on under his watch . Like Sam Sam said, he is one bad season away from never being a head coach again. To break out this silliness now, do that on the Bye week after we go 4-0 maybe, next season after at least a decent playoff run and the AFC east title. Not when all you have accomplished is signing a pretty incredible Defensive tackle and lost 2 Pre season games......one that's his fault.

He's our coach , I'm pulling for him to "develop" into a competent one. This little side show doesn't prove it.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I'm pulling for him too, he's done some things that make me cringe as well, and the criticisms of him are mostly warranted.

But W/L record in Preseason? That's where you lose me. *MAYBE* in the final pre season game they *MIGHT* try to win as a dress rehearsal thing, but the preseason is for evaluating the roster and not much else.

Even in this most recent game, they could have kicked the PAT to force 'overtime' (as the announcers mentioned, but I didn't even know they had OT in the pre season), but they SMARTLY tried a 2 pointer. Why? Because it's preseason! That's when you see how well your backups can execute things such as a two point conversion. Turns out we failed. Okay, duly noted when the next round of cuts is being decided.

Can you imagine if we went to OT then one of our players got injured during overtime? The fans, media, and players union would have had Philbin drawn and quartered on the spot.

I can see where treasure coast is coming from...

I heard bear fans were extatic after that pre season win agains us.

I think they are going to the superbowl now.

Lol. I know . I was stretching it a bit on the W/L record in preseason.drinking smiley

I know it doesn't mean crap, but I'd like to see him scouring the rooster trying to make it better at this point. Not treating the team to thug movies and bad side shows. Everyone ne ed s to be better, not a time to relax. They just had several months of relaxing.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
