That was a pass of 30 yard on a deep crossing route on a busted coverage.

No the same as a deep or skinny post, a 9 route, or any other vertical route.

He hasn't hit one single deep uncontested, in stride, vertical route for a TD.

I say keep throwing the deep crossing route. It is the one deep pass T hill can hit on! Yet we never see it! So I blame coaching.

Who needs the deep throw when your qb is coming up with over 100 passer rating every other game and your team is running the football with ease.

Add to that a strong defense and this is a recipe for success.

You have no proof, and you wont ever find any proof that I post under any other names. it has been stated many times about the different IP address and having to get approval to post etc.; now that is fact, but some people wish not to believe it.

I have no time nor need for that as I dont care who agrees with me or not. I dont need validation for my comments as some apparently do.

often I post articles and comments to support what I say. IF that makes it fact or not is not for me to say.

I don't hate Tannehill as i've stated many time i want him to play well and not cost the Dolphins games. apparently me saying he cant and wont ever be able to throw a deep ball consistantly means I hate him, but that is not true.

thank you for recognizing I'm the one being attacked.

Sam, a deep pass (especially if a few are completed) is very important to a team's offensive production.

Those passes keep the safeties back and the CBs turning and running with the receiver (esp Wallace). When that happens, the result is either another receiver can come underneath or the receiver (Wallace) can stop and come back, leaving the CB continuing his run up the field, and the receiver should then be open. Those passes are all timing. Bad timing = bad things happening. That's why RT has to let that ball go before the receiver goes into his break.

But, I also agree with you, Sam, in that RT is very good at what he does, short to 20/25 yards down the field, with rollouts, play action, etc.

However, despite the numbers, I wouldn't exactly say our team is "running with ease." Miami gets their yards, but RT has a lot to do with that.

And yes, a top notch defense will help keep a team in the game until that offense finds its way.

dolphin, the problem many on this board have with you is how you present your "statements" concerning RT, as you did above.

You constantly state RT CAN'T throw the deep ball, but Joe, not too long ago, gave you four instances, with video, (I believe), showing he can. I have also seen his long ball. RT has the arm; he doesn't hit on a lot of them, but he does hit.

You continue to say he can't!

No QB can hit on as many long balls as you think RT should be doing.

That's where much of the backlash comes in.

Agree capkoi but if we keep winning it doesn't hurt that much
that the long ball isnt working.

Although we might need the long ball when we are down in the 4th and need a quick score.

Here is the thing with the deep ball. While it is an important part of any offense and we need to get better at it, the best QB's in the league historically as far back as you'd care to look only complete such passes around 30% of the time.

7 out of every 10 deep balls are either incomplete, defensed or picked off.
