The only receiver playing above his pay grade right now is Landry. This kid's got heart. Wallace is playing his heart out as well but he just isn't set up for the way he is being used. Turned out to be a bad pick/contract by Ireland....I know, shocker!
I couldn't agree more about getting bigger targets. It seems no one is getting open on the short and intermediate routes. Nobody is making plays after the catch outside of Landry. It's not just bigger target, it's yac as well. Clay is just average at this point. A real step back for him.
We need shifty, quick twitch guys as well as larger catch radius guys.
"Over the last 10+ years, we have been in the lows. We have seen some pretty bad football being played by our guys."
10 years! so I guess it is ok to just continue the same way for some. I personally want to see the Dolphins win!
Joe you are correct. Clock management should start much earlier when we have the lead.
808phan, did you watch the game? They did try a throw on 3rd on the final drive. and i never said this loss was all on Tannehill.
The defense could have made a stop. I would blame the coaching most on this loss. questionable decisions early in the game. Not blocking the beast with 2 people right off was not smart.
To 808Phan - I live in NY and do not have the luxury of sitting home and watching the games on TV. I'm out in loud sports bars watching the game with no sound, but that's ok I accept sitting with Jets and Giant fans. I live and die with this time. I read the internet everyday of the year looking for information on the Phins. I have watched this team for over 40 years so please do not tell me to not post what I'm feeling. I have seen this movie playout so many times with the same sad ending. I hope I'm wrong and I can come on this board tomorrow and post something positive. I'll be watching tonight and rooting hard, but our weakness is the offensive line and the Bills strength is the defensive line. This matchup does not add up in my book for a WIN.
Wallace is doing everything he can. How anyone can knock on him is bizarre.
Treasure do you knot think the coaches are asking why did we lose this game? How can we get better?
Yes, we had 2 good wins this year so far. You are going to be happy with that if we miss the playoffs again? You think the owner will be? The rational fans?
I do believe Cleveland is in the playoff hunt, and they were WAY worse then us last year. They by the way play in the toughest division in football record wise.
What im hearing out of your blah blah blah is that Tannehill would be great if all the players around him were great, and all the plays called were perfect....
They were competitive LAST year until tannehill went poo poo his last 2 games.

Well, the Wallace signing was a good idea at the time, but hasn't worked out the way anyone hoped it would.
This game, vs Buffalo, is going to be another one where Wallace won't get any long balls. Why? Because RT isn't going to have time to step back and throw down the field. Wallace will be valuable only in the sense that he can bring a couple of defenders with him and open up the short routes for the other guys.
Most of the passing plays will be of the 10-15 yard variety, because RT is just not going to have time to step back and survey the field. There won't be any three progressions. It's gonna be his first option or run or throw it away.
Our OLine could come up with a miracle and be able to hold out the Buffalo front four, but IMO, that will be highly unlikely.
Lazor is the key to this game. Can he devise a game plan that will negate the Buffalo pass rush and keep RT out of harm's way, or will it be the same as usual?

He played as well as the rest of the team with a major distraction. What's your point as usual? Tannehill has a great week so you need to go back to last season? Lol
