In the packers 2 losses this year they scored 16 and 7 points.. In their 2 wins they scored 31 and 38... It is all about a strong performance from our defense IMO...

Agreed, although this league requires a solid performance on both sides. It seems to me, across the league, teams who move the ball successfully also show good performance from their defenses.
We need the offense to stay creative, reducing three and out situations.
Well we will have to run the ball effectively controlling the clock. This will keep Rogers off the field. I do not think blitzing him is a good idea because he is good at making something out of nothing. We need solid tackling across the board and play great special teams. Seeing how we struggle at all of that it will be hard and not shocking if we do not win.
Yes, no doubt the offensive side of the ball can have a tremendous impact on how good of a game the defensive side can have... As mentioned if the offense keeps going 3 and out it is tough for the defense to not get gassed and eventually get exploited.. I guess the point i was trying to make, is we don't want to get in a shootout with the Packers...
Although we are kind of just like the Packers, in our 2 losses we scored 10 and 15 points.. In our 2 wins we scored 33 and 38...It would seem both teams need to score more then 25 points to win... Lets hope it is us... SO in that case it is all about offense...lol.. Just not a shoot out... I think I have confused myself in a round about way...

Green Bay will score points on us. We don't have a CB on our roster who can handle Jordy Nelson. That's going to be a theme the next two weeks, because we don't have ANYBODY on our roster who can handle Marshall, Jeffery, or Bennett when we go to Chicago.
I like our match up with green Bay much better than the following week in Detroit.
The interior of GB's dline is nothing special without Raji. Our oline should match up well with them. I expect the offense to have a good day.
GB's oline isn't great either. For me this game will be decided by our pass rush. If Wake, Vernon, etc have a good day I expect us to win.
Detroit on the other hand has the potential to be embarrassing the same way buffalo was. Suh and fairley could dominate our OG's to the point that our offense never gets going. And while I'm not worried about grimes slowing down jordy Nelson, he can't cover megatron.

tired of looking great one week and soiling ourselves the next 2.
key to winning is playing with a lead. when behind we get too conservative on defense. hopefully tanny builds on that raiders performance and gets us out to a 14pt lead. let the ends pin their ears back and get after Rodgers.
That's not going to happen. We will not jump out on any team. We are not a 'fast start' team! I believe we will win against Green-Bay because we will be able to run the ball on them. To me there is no way we beat Detroit. I think we will beat the Bears because Cutler gets emotional pouts and throws INT's!
IMO, inconsistency is the mark of poor coaching/game planning. A lot of the battles in the NFL come down to match-ups but that is up to the coach to game plan around that to exploit match-ups, not feed into them.

BINGO. Spot on Brother. These are all world class athletes. Very little separates them. It comes down to play calling and focusing on strength's and exposing weaknesses. That's something Belicheat has always been a master of at halftime. Philbin does not have it. No passion. No kill instinct. Non motivator. Too careful.

We play the Lions on November 2 and the Pats on December 14. Why do you single out those two games with all the other games in between and even November 2, the earliest, being so far away?????????????
That's very odd.
And the title of this thread says strategy for the Packers, which the next game we play.

Our Defense needs to play at the highest level. Man to man our D must out perform their offensive players. Offensively we must execute better and score 28 points minimum. If we can, I predict a 28 to 20 win.
