The fact that we are not doing the stupid go, go-go cadence and teams will not know our snap count is probably going to be the biggest positive from changing OC's... That got plain ridiculous last year... We lost that 2nd game to Buffalo and a few others strictly because of the silent snap count that their defense had keyed in on.. All those sacks and bad line play, also had to do with the teams knowing our snap count and not mixing up the cadence very much... What an advantage for us when defenses actually have to wait until we move before rushing and reacting, who would have thought.....

by saying "go" and "go, go"???????? Because like someone mentioned, it could have cost us the last game we played against Buffalo and a playoff spot.
Less thinking more reacting.

Wouldn't surprise me if Tanny was angry and for the very reasons I pointed out LAST year about how his NATURAL TALENTS were being mis-used but again, I'd blame Philbin over Sherman.

How so? yeah yeah , I know it comes from the Top and all the B.S. he was ultimately "in charge". But it was Shermans offense. His play calling. Philbin deserves some blame for not over riding him, but it was Shermans complete body of work.
Stubborn? Maybe. But Stupid? That's just incorrect. What has he ever done that was stupid except trust those he hired to work under him? he delegated authority. You have to be able to do that . No one can do it all. I believe he is very intelligent and thats the main reason I'm giving him another chance.
The Locker room cards need to stop. Don't be so afraid to get up there and motivate. speak from the heart. Take some chances. I've seen his fire first hand on the side lines. He will let a referee have it and a player. But I don't think he likes cameras. He needs to be more front and center. he can do it. If not.....we find someone else. But we don't keep smashing a square peg into a round hole like we did with Saprano and Wannabe for 5 yrs a piece.
Whoa, now I've taken a chill pill and read the rest of it. Oh, that ole delegate authority stuff. It's all Sherman's fault. Sherman alone makes two critical game losing playcalls, the same mind you, decision on 4th and inches in two successive games.
Treasure, I'd like to interest you in my deceased parents' beach front home in Lawton, Oklahoma. You'll love the ocean's roar.
And because you're such a good friend of mine, Treasure, I'll let it go for a mere $10K.
Hell NO! My friend. Sherman was a scapegoat. The baldheaded knuckle head made those decisions.
It's usually the Head Coach who makes the call to either go for it or kick it. It's usually the OC's call on which play to call unless of course, the HC calls the plays.
In this case Sherman was the designated play caller. He was also Philbin's mentor and elder so I think one can make the assumption that Philbin was not micro-managing Mike Sherman.
This is IMO, why the relationship was a failure. Philbin's reluctance to scold or manage his respected mentor subordinate.
As we heard quoted from Philbin last year, Sherman was the one who insisted on running the ball to keep things balanced when Philbin said he would probably just abandon the run game when it wasn't working.
Its a bad decision. Not a career breaker. Cause for concern? Absolutely . he needs to make better decisions. Life is a learning experience. But taken to the level you have its just a bit unfair IMO. Lets see what he does this year. I have a good feeling . He is surrounded by better personal and players.
"He has been knocked down, dragged about and he always gets up. His demeanor , his professionalism is inspiring. he is beyond intelligent , tough and athletic. He is everything you would ever want in a QB. This season look TF Out my friend. Ryan Tannehill will be a Top 5 QB in this league."

Name one QB in the last 14 yrs who had more yardage , More rushing?
Sorry but everytime you type you sound more stupid then the last time. See Chyrene? THATS a good example of Stupid. See the difference?

Why Marino? What has Marino ever done that Tanny has not so far?
And was Griese a Champion because maybe he was a product of a great Team w/ Chemistry?
What makes the both of them better then Tanny these last few seasons? I know you love to make ignorant blanket statements, but I'm gonna hold you to explain them. I always do.

Some bad ones made no doubt. I'm looking for improvement in that area.
I am too and if I get that improvement, I will lay off Philbin, provided, of course, if he gives enough game time experience so that we can assess the value of almost all of our players.
Not a big fan of him not playing some guys at all.

Oooh oooh I know.
Pass for 5K yards and 48 TDs in his second year? AFC Championship?
I love Tannehill by the way and would not trade him, for the record.
But let's face the facts....two years into their career and Danny had definitely done things that Tanny hasn't done. Tannehill does show great promise and if he continues to improve, then yes he may very well get the SB ring that Marino never got...here's hoping.

I hear you brother. I have the Marino shine in my Man cave, trust me. BUT.......Marino walked onto a very good football team . It was solid, Superbowl worthy actually no distractions, Coach Shula was G-d.And how many starts did Marino have in college? At PENN State !? I didn't mean to diss the great one. I'm just trying to point out How much Tannehill has overcome to accomplish what he has. The Kid is such a Raw Talent and this team is not exactly supporting him last season. Still he did great. I love his toughness, he doesn't whine or complain. He just wants to succeed and get better.
Go Tannehill Go Phins! X2!! Couldn't have said it better.......
