An area of critical need was addressed. For that I give Hickey credit but, now with so many new faces on the o-line the onus is on the coaches to develop them properly to play well as a unit. No easy task.

I liked this draft more than any we've had within memory, really.

Jarvis Landry is exactly the sort of player this team has needed to draft for a long time.

Dennis Hickey drafted football players. He did not draft athletes. He drafted football players. We don't know if they're going to pan out, or whether or not this was a good draft (and we won't for a while), but for once we drafted guys who can actually play ball rather than guys who look good running in shorts.

I love it.

Exactly R/J . The more I read the more I like it. We definitely have enough to compete in the AFC east and a playoff berth. thumbs up

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

You all missed the point of my post.

My issue is not with who Hickey drafted,,, but with his lack of trades and value of his trades.

Hickey got schooled PERIOD!

He didnt trade down when he should've ....and trade down, when he should of just picked?....

I agree the first round was just atrocious! However it is a good experience and hopefully will improve next year!

RE: Thats on paper though. I agree that it looks as though we reached for some guys but what was our strategy going into the draft? I think it was to find three starters which we did and beyond that, I think it was to add depth, which again I think we did in spades. Depth was and has been a glaring need for this team over that last decade...another draft (Sucessful that is ) with that as a primary goal and we should be set for awhile. I don't care if they draft name guys or look for acorns...provided who they pick can play quality football. I think the guys Hickey took can.
