Money doesnt motivate him?

LOL. Sure it doesn't. He already got paid 100 Mill.

He doesn't have to worry about money anymore.

I wonder if he would say same thing if he got something like reggie white first contract.

4 years 6 Mill for the 4 years not 6 mill each year. NO

6 mill altogether for 4 years.

He wouldnt be able to have 12 porshes parked in front of his house at reggie white type money.

Didn't say he was stupid. He got paid. he admits that. But its how you carry yourself "AFTER" you get paid that shows his character.

Just ask our "Wheeler" and "Ellerbe".

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

He worked hard before he got money. Some people are not motivated by money and are simply motivated by pride.

Money motivastes everyone...

But thinking about it a bit more..

He can go to the john and clean himself with 100 dollar bills for the rest of his life and he still wouldnt go broke..

So maybe its true....Money does not motivate him.

He has everything paid off already and doesnt have to worry about money ever again.

Well.....He could have went to a Ferrari dealership and bought a new car instead of showing up in the middle of the night to work out. eye rolling smiley

He has refused to go to Team parties , watch or engage in any new discussions about TV/movies because he is devoting himself to football for his career as long as that might be.

It might be a little over the Top , but its refreshing to see such a work ethic no matter what he is getting paid. I wish we had him. Are the Dolphins getting their monies worth out of our High paid players!?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

No doubt about that treasure coast...I wish we had him too.

I think everybody here thats a dolphin fan would agree as well.

PS> I wonder if JJ WATT would be saying money doesnt motivate him if he had gotten a regular contract as opposed to 100 mill.

Just a thought.

Pride comes in many different flavors. Getting paid that contract to him humbled him. He feels like he has a lot to live up to now. He wants to EARN it.

Look around the league....Darrell Revis was the worst proponent in recent history IMO. Getting a contract and STILL holding out for more. And he never devoted himself like JJ has. That's why Revis is washed up 3 seasons later.

I also doubt you will ever see JJ Watt broke and in bankruptcy. His character and work ethic are rare among todays high paid athletes.

Its another reason I am so loyal to Cam Wake. He did not break into the NFL the easy way. A Pampered first round pick. He worked his way back into the NFL from Canada. He busts his ass 24/7. You can't say a bad word about him to me.

Guys like Revis make me sick. The NFL is littered with them. Most of them broke by the age of 40. disgraceful.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I would find it hard to pay any defensive player that much money... Between Revis and Haynesworth, paying a defensive player that much normally isn't a great move for the team as a whole... I know Watt is great but I wouldn't want him at that cost...

He is motivated by his desire to be great.

Anyone remember Lyman Bostick of the Angels? He actually wanted to give money back because he felt he did not live up to the contract.
