Hickey should retire after pulling this one off, how in the hell did he get anyone to give us anything in return for Martin is beyond belief!

They don't have a 6th so likely a 7th rounder they have like 4 of them. 5th would be killer

UPDATE 11:12 p.m. ET: Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Dolphins will receive a conditional seventh-round pick in 2015, if Martin is on the 49ers’ opening-day roster

I can't say a second round pick two years ago that has turned into a conditional 7th today is a good thing, but I suppose just getting something - anything! for this clown is a win under the circmstances. I don't think Jim Harbaugh did himself any favors.

I almost would rather forgo the pick , and I know this is terrible , but I really can't wish him well after what he has done to so many lives. Hope it doesn't bring me bad Karma , but I hope he doesn't make the team and is cut in training camp. He doesn't belong in the NFL.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

It was reported Ross was involved in this... Considering Ross and Harbaugh are Michigan guys and Harbaughs past with Martin, I think Harbaugh just did Ross a solid.. I doubt Hickey had much to do with this...
Now Martin will have a tougher time suing the Dolphins for ruining his career, since he got a new start and was traded (had perceived value still)... The 7th rd pick, is whatever... It is the fact, we are off the hook in numerous ways with this guy.....

I don't wish Martin good or bad luck, I'm just glad the Dolphins can say we legitimately got him off the team and can move on.

It was just reported that Martin now claims the baggage handler at a south Florida airport called him a name as he left for good.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I may be wrong (and someone may have already answered this) but I don't think it will be a pick in this year's draft.

From what I understand, it is a conditional pick, and the condition depends on if Martin makes the SF roster.

If that is the case, then the pick will be for next year.

I don't think Harbaugh is going to have any problems with Martin.

Harbaugh was his college coach; Martin is where he wants to be (he is a California boy); and he isn't going in to be a starter.

All will be well in 49er land and Miami will get their 7th round pick as Martin is a good, not great, player, and he can play both sides.

I hope he makes the team as it will give Miami a 7th rounder next year, although a 7th rounder is no big deal.

You are correct sir, at one point last night it was being reported on twitter (Armando I think) that it was a 2014 pick, he has since corrected that statement, I should of done the same.

I wish him nothing but bad luck, FK that guy for what he took part in and so innocently laid blame on everyone else. Hey Jonathan................ FK YOU!
