I wish we had signed Verner to what he ended up getting, a reasonable deal especially with the $$ saved from cutting Patterson. We need another CB for sure, maybe we bring back Patterson at less $$. Don't want to resign Carroll and we can't count on the 2 rookies last year to step up and start, that would be a mistake

Verner is said to be strictly a "cover 2" corner....which is why Tampa prefers him over Darrell Revis. They are also cheaper.

at some point you have to expect your high draft picks to step up and start. you can't build a team by overpaying in FA.

if these guys are still struggling in camp then there will be vets out there that you can bring but you just can't pay big money at every position.

Starks is a stud and a mistake if we let get away. Just another sign of what may be a really good choice for GM if Starks is able to be brought back at a reasonable number.

Of you do berkley.....He was put in a great situation salary cap wise.
