are you nuts? RT has been the best QB we've had since marino and still has tremendous upside. and you want to spend a first rounder to replace him after 1 season? QB is NOT our biggest problem. more like 6-8 down the list

I would have said the same thing a week ago berk but I've given Tanny 2 full years. At the end of two years, he played a last game that would have been more reminiscent of early in his first year. Had he played the same game he played against Buffalo, though not good, I would have still been blaming the scheme he's playing and the coaches.

Maybe they should have had him playing the option but the dude just doesn't have it.

That "surrender yourself" yards before he could have made a long first down, those poor throws at even 25 yards, not to say anything of the long balls.

Put the whole package together and going into next year with Tanny alone is just like having the whole Ireland, Philbin, Sherman crew back.

When you say "give him another year" you are asking to see something that I don't think he has in him.

So, now, the question is "a first round draft choice at QB". Well, what's the competition for Bret Hundley?

Johnny Football? Boy would not that be a slap at Tanny to bring in his replacement to replace him?

But next question is, what do we need MORE in the first round.

Is there any offensive lineman worth grabbing and passing over Hundley or Manziel? If course, we have a shot at them.

At the very least, do we go hunting for at "Russell Wilson" or "Kaepernick" in the late rounds????

Hey, Moore proved he is too old as a backup.

And God knows we know nothing about our third string QB.

Needs someone to compete. Maybe trade for Cousins who many thought we should have drafted?

Mike Wallace " We missed a lot of potential TD's"

I think Ken is RT's cousin or agent or something (or jeff Ireland!)

Berk he has had 2 seasons. isn't that what we gave Henne?

he definitely has some positive aspects but just misses too many big passes that make you an upper echelon QB. Not sure another year makes him any better

look at cousin's numbers and RTs. trust me I live in DC and they would do cartwheels to trade cousins for RT. the grass ain't green, we of all people should know this. aj feely, jay feidler, trent green, how many other backups do you want to bring here because they are "someone else"?

No, KB, its not because we don't draft enough linemen...it's because we don't draft/trade/FA enough GOOD linemen.

There's a big difference.

Gil Brandt ?@Gil_Brandt 6 Jan

O'Brien likes big QBs. I could see #Texans trying to trade w #Patriots for Ryan Mallett, going diff direction in draft

Ryan Mallett has not seen the field. He has played less than Pat Devlin. LOL. Anybody buying him is buying a pig in a poke.

Great and swell. With our luck, the Patsies will trade Mallett for a pick, maybe a 2nd half of the first round and then draft Manziel and he will dominate us for the next 20 years after Brady retires.
