Ray Farmer--what do you think of him

I'd never heard of Ray Farmer before, but I'll bet some of you have.

What do you think of him? He's supposedly among the top candidates (if not the very top) to replace Ireland.

He played linebacker for three years with the Eagles. Maybe he'd consider strapping on some pads again.

I'm not getting to worked up about any so called "top choices" just yet, I also just read that Gamble is Ross's "top choice", I think agents spin a nice web.................

James Walker?@JamesWalkerNFL12m
I'm hearing Tom Gamble is a favorite of #Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. That carries a lot of weight in this GM search.

Jim Harbaugh was also a favorite of Ross so, what's that really worth.

I heard Tom Gamble was a top choice as well, and someone I am intrigued by... But Jesse Agler reported yesterday, that there is a lot of rumors out there... He said people have reported the Dolphins have Gamble as top choice but facts is they have not even asked The Eagles for permission to interview him yet... So you would think if he was a top choice they would have asked for permission to interview him by now....

Well, Gamble and Harbaugh worked very well together at San Fran. With him gone Harbaugh and his new gm are in a bit of a power struggle.

So if Gamble is hired Ross would have the inside track to get Harbaugh if Philbin is canned.

Yes he is and it's already been established that philbin is our coach in 2014.

what i'm saying is if philbin gets canned in the next couple years and we're in the market for a coach then gamble would have the inside track at harbaugh.

We aren't getting Harbaugh, so no one is giving us the inside track

don't know why we are looking at the #2 guy in bad organizations. we should be looking at guys with a track record of adding good players to good teams

I'd rather have Gamble to be honest.

I'd rather pass on all of the above. Time to recruit the best college scout guy around.

Ray Farmer, probably a Rooney rule guy. I think the guy is going to be Gamble, he just has to accept it. The iggle fans are already upset about this...that's a good sign.

Lets be honest. If he put together a winning team anywhere he wouldn't be available. we get a Newbie with potential , or someone who hasn't done squat elsewhere. Those are our options.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!
