Jay Glazer, just said on twitter that he has personally seen the text messages Richie referred to in the interview, including "I am going to murder your whole f*cking family"

Glazer said he's seen over a thousand texts between Incog and Martin, including after JM left the team. Things could get interesting.

On CBS this morning Richie indicated that Martin texted him AFTER Martin left the team basically saying there is no big deal and Richie confirmed that they were the best of friends before all of this occurred.

You guys are still stuck on the original story. Incognito accused of bully and Martin being a wimp.

Do you have to be hit over the head with it?

Or is the truth more unsettling to you to think that not only could there one Gay in the NFL but two and if there are two on one team, how many more are there?

I know I'm not alone when I say that if this whole imbroglio gets Philbin and Ireland fired, I will be one happy camper. Philbin is an awful head coach. Bring on the next coaching search.

Chyren with all respect, you are the only person in the world at this point that is taking this angle..... I don't think there is any evidence, that points to taking that position... Is it possible, sure, but come on man......

I said when all this started that it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that Martin was gay and that the pressures of being closeted as an NFL athlete, playing poorly, getting demoted and being razzed by his teammates caused him to have an emotional breakdown.

But I don't think there is any way this is a love affair gone bad. But its not statistically impossible.

Roughly 5% of the people in the US identify as gay or transgender. Estimates are that at least that many remain in the closet, probably more.

If 10-15% of the population of this country are gay, bi-sexual or transgender then statistically there are 5-8 gay people in EVERY NFL locker room.

It doesn't make sense because for this theory to be true people who have spent their lives hiding who they are would have to be having a VERY public airing of their relationship problems. I don't think that adds up...but stranger things have happened.

I think the 10% gay stat has long been discredited

This assumes an NFL locker room is comprised of every type of person on earth in exact proportions. This is where statistics fail. NFL players aren't the same as the typical human being.

Maybe.

But is it such a stretch to think that if 4% of the population in this country OPENLY identify as being gay, that there might be just as many who are afraid to come out?

Its not like there have been a lot of reasons for them to be open about their preferences.

Until recently they couldn't get married, get co-insurance, be in the military, and they can still be legally fired for being openly gay.

There's really no way to know how many people out there are actually gay but leading alternate lives to fit into a society that really doesn't embrace their existence.

Its just a guess, but I'd say we are looking at more than 4% of the population and that the actual number is probably closer to that "discredited" 10% than to the acknowledged 4% today.

True enough. Its always going to be a generalization when taking about large groups of people.

How so?

Other than the obvious that they are usually bigger, stronger, faster and have better eye-hand coordination than the typical human.

Okay, I'll post this not so much as an argument that I am right (because like everyone else, I don't know, I'm just guessing) but instead I post it so that if it is confirmed, people don't say, "Oh you just took a lucky shot in the dark."

In other words, I come to this conclusion, because, like in most legal situations and in most crime situations, assuming rational people, it's the only thing that not only makes sense but ties all the evidence together.

From what we know.

There was a blow up a couple of months ago.

Richie and Martin were said to be best friends by many players.

Richie said that they were close friends.

They were seen out at nightclubs together (further showing their friendship, either fraternal or otherwise).

Martin sits down at a table and all the other players get up and leave.

Martin left the team in a huff but texted Richie that they were still cool.

For either of them to confess gayness would be the end of both of their careers.

Nothing else explains the wild swings in their relationship.

As Detective Adrian Monk says, "I could be wrong now but I don't think so."

Whats the big deal folks?

Who cares if they playing hide the banana?

Its their bussiness...althought it hurts the phins as far as a distraction.

We might be better without both of them.

We will see tonight. It starts tonight.

They can both pack their bags for all i care. I think its better if they left the phins for good.

Next thing you know no other phin player is gonna want to even take a shower at the phins training facility. They might think either martin or incognito would be trying to take a peek.

And that again would be a huge distraction.
