This "story" seems devised to dismantle a franchise that was already in disarray and then you have to ask WHO BENEFITS and WHY?

I absolutely do not trust ANYTHING from ESPN and it's blatantly obvious regional bias not to mention certain "intrinsic" tribal dictates that litter its roster of employees and their affiliated vested interests.

That said, and read between the lines because such discourse is NOT allowed by those who have the POWER to construct reality in their chosen image -- this episode is bush league "sports reporting" at its best by incompetent assholes who have nothing to do but manufacture scandal as long as it SERVES their agenda.

Such is the wOrld we live in. Hypocrisy rules. And the "truth" is something you manufacture by manipulating the info to paint the picture you want the mASSES to see.

Personally I recommend huge doses of Noam Chomsky to help cleanse the filth off the garbage being shoved down everyone's gullet.

BNF.

They did this on the Paterno & Penn State story. Didn't have a lot of the facts straight, another rush to judgement

But, the thing is, this is everywhere, not just ESPN, NFLN, etc.

It's reporters doing their job and trying to keep audiences tuned in to their networks.

No big deal.

I am a Penn State alum. I can't tell you how much this whole situation has echoes of the Paterno lynching. Media rushes to judgement, story builds on itself, knee jerk reactions made, internal investigations happen, people get fired, team suffers, and fans suffer.
