The Bills are just trying to run the clock out before the 2 minute warning and Jackson goes through like Superman at least seven Dolphins had him dead to rights and he makes a first down.

I can. This is our Dolphins we're talking about. They're too busy finding ways to shoot themselves in the foot to worry about trying to win a football game.

Think back to that bonehead punt play along with Tannehill's pick 6 & fumble, that's where we lost this game

At some point you have start considering Moore due to Tannehill's inability to connect on the big play always under or over throwing receivers

I can't, either. As inaccurate as T-hill was today, we should have won. Anybody that takes two steps back before starting to block when your QB is taking a three-step drop is too stupid to be a starting tackle in the NFL. Fire Tyson Clabo.

Come on, the single biggest reason we lost this game is Tyson Clabo and his non existant 4th quarter blocking.

Honest to god, if we just threw your average fat, drunk, half-asleep fan in Clabo's place, the results would be the same. He's a warm body at best.

If Clabo is starts even one more game, it's cause for every coach to be fired immediately. There is no way on earth that Nate Garner would be worse (and if he is, he shouldn't be in the league anyway). I'm sick and tired of every fan seeing things that the coaches for some reason fail to see. I've lost a lot of faith in Philbin and the rest of the coaches.

You guys turned this thread from a complaint about our inability to tackle to a complaint about Clabo.

With him in mind, questionable as to whether HAVING THE LEAD AT THAT TIME, we should have had Tannehill passing ANYWAY.

You're probably right. But the fact remains that Clabo is by far the worst right tackle in football and has likely cost us points and ultimately wins.

Maybe so Cheryn but Clabo is being paid a lot of money to one thing...get his fat assed body in front of a defender and stay there.

He can't even do that.

this loss is ALL on TAnnehill he SUCKS! 3 turnovers. He locks on the receiver before snap that is why shit gets jumped. Another play he locked onto the RB and the TE was wide open with no one around him for 10 yards.

Tannehill is becoming the fiedler of this team....

play calling again totally questionable. all receivers run same distance and turn around..... just gets sick and old

they never should have been throwing the ball in that situation.

run run run

mike Sherman is horrible.

tannehill had a bad game yet kept going and got us the lead with 3 td passes.

I think we had to, we weren't in field goal range. It possible that we could have punted our way out of trouble, but our running game had been stuffed the last couple of minutes and there was too much time left. We NEEDED a first down at that point. I believe, based on the protection T-hill had been getting, a quick pass was a viable option.

Having said that, I may have been a little harsh on Clabo, though. He had contained Williams pretty well up to that point.

On every Buffalo scoring drive, a major Dolphins mistake facilitated it. On that last crucial drive, it was Clabo-and he will have to live with that. I do still think we have several better options, however.

I'm not so sure that that's where we lost this game, but that has to be one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen any player that has made it to the pinnacle of football excellence make.

it doesn't matter. you let them burn their to's and make them drive the field to beat us if we can't get a first down.

this offense has zero identity. are we a running team, short passing team, wide open offense? we're nothing but predictable.

I really think they expect too much from tannehill with as inexperienced as he is. simplify things for the kid.

Sorry dude, but you're wrong.

There's 3 min left when we turned it over. If you run twice and don't get the first down you give them the ball back with 1:55 left, 3 timeouts, and needing only a fg to WIN. They don't have to drive the length of the field to win. They only need to get to our 35.

With 3 min left, 2nd and 5 at midfield you run your normal offense and you certainly try to get another 1st down to get in FG range or put the game away.

We ran a quick passing play off a 3-5 step drop. It was a conservative play call. Clabo just shit the bed at the worst possible time.

Why can't you believe it? The Fins have been doing that all season. Like I mentioned in an earlier post(s), how many 3rd and forevers has Miami given up? They did it again today, on a run no less.

We have a decent defense, but when it comes to crunch time (like today) they fold. BTW, where the hell was Wake? I never, not once, heard his name called.

Our guys just came off their bye week and most of the team's injuries have healed enough to where they (supposedly) were the healthiest they have been all year. What happened?

Ken - SINGLE reason? Come on, I know you were watching the game.

That first quarter looked like a high school team playing against the Bills, both sides of the ball, but the coaching would have been better in high school.

Miami improved from the second quarter on, but bad playcalling and poor execution weren't going to allow Miami to win this game.

No, RT SHOULD NOT have been passing at that time. Again, Sherman had the running game going; KEEP RUNNING THE DAMN BALL. There was no reason on earth to throw on second down - NONE!!!

Saying that, that is the play that was called; Clabo needed to do his job and he once again failed. Granted, Williams is a load for anyone, but in that spot why would Sherman have that kind of faith in him? If you insist on passing at that juncture, then give Clabo some help. The guy isn't that good (don't know why Philbin can't see that), so either replace him or give him some help.

BTW, the announcers even said that Watkins and Thomas had been deactivated for the game. Again, I scratch my head.

No, you're right, the Fins weren't in FG range; I believe they had another 10-15 yards to go before it would have been comfortable for Sturgis, but...there was no need to pass on 2nd down. Run the ball, then if necessary, pass on 3rd.

Sherman must have some rule in his book/head that RT isn't allowed to throw those quick slants more than twice a game. Because of that, he is getting killed back there. Our line just can't keep the defenders out of the backfield before RT can get the ball out. Those quick slants would back off the defenders which would open up the running game and the deep balls.

Again, I'm not so sure about Sherman' future with the Dolphins.

PLAYER?

RT didn't call the play, Sherman did. Then Clabo let Williams crush RT.

If there is a PLAYER to be pointed out, it would be Clabo.

I stated all week long that Claybo is the culprit. Tanny had anything but a good day , He threw into traffic , he deserves a heavy dose of blame , But Claybo sucks and caused that last fumble.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

What? I was talking about the coverage on the punt - first to touch the ball after running out of bounds, and catching the ball on the bounce when it clearly would have bounced farther downfield. Cost us 40 yards on the re-kick.

I would sure love to be a fly on the wall in Ross's office this morning. I'm certain Ireland and Philbin have both been summoned.

that touching of the punt was freakin stupid!

It felt like a run was needed in that situation, i would have called a run.

a slant??? are we even allowed to call that?

and why do our RB screens SUCK?

you commit to the run and make them burn their to's and trust that your d can stop a practice squader from beating you.

every rag I've read seems to agree with me. stupid play calling.

Right. To me it looked like it was going back toward the goal line but even if it was coming back toward the punter, if you've gone out of bounds, you stay away from the ball.

THERE IS A REASON that other football players are backing off from the ball.

Again, it's coaching because too many of our players seem to lapse into bad habits that most football players are coached OUT OF in college, if not high school

+1

All you had to do is stop at "I can"
