Maybe if we all start a rumor that Clabo is sleeping with Philbin's wife, he might get benched? Or maybe that it was a threesome with Jeff Ireland? You know, kill two birds with one stone kind of thing? Just trying to think outside the box.

The idea that I wish would come to Philbin's mind is getting Clabo some help on key plays. What if he had Yeatman in on those plays that Mario Williams got to Tannehill? Hopefully Clabo knowing that he had help would cut off Williams move to the inside forcing him into the double team. The end result might have been 2 extra seconds for Tanne to get rid of the ball.

Run the double TE w/ an empty backield or just plain Yeatman at TE but give Clabo some help on plays that really count.

Yeatman is now 325lbs. He's not a TE any longer

I know that but play him as a TE. He has TE experience and is a better blocker than receiver. You must be on the phins coaching staff. You don't see the point. confused smiley

If you want to argue we should have gone to a jumbo package with another olinemen that's fine. But there are probably better choices than yeatman as a blocker and at 325lbs he is no longer a receiving threat.

It's funny; I was saying that yesterday, I read it this AM, and there have been a few posts today saying the same thing. Problem is, if what I read is true, the coaches said that Clabo had a lot of help throughout the game, just not on the last few key plays.

Eh?

Besides Pouncey and Incognito, are any of our guys on the line playing that well?

I find it hard to believe that Garner, Thomas, et al, can't play as well if not better than the guys we have starting right now.

The only conclusion I can come up with is the present day starters are the guys the coaching staff decided, during training camp, will be the starters for the season and don't want to change it. Maybe because they want cohesiveness...maybe because they are stubborn...maybe because the subs just aren't good enough...?

I really don't know, and I highly doubt we will get truthful answers from any of the coaches or Ireland.

Nah, he's just want to join them and after a while Philbin would ask his wife if she could run out to the liquor store and get him a beer.

Pouncey and Incognito are not playing as well as they were last year. This entire line has not performed. I am tired of the Pouncey Incog are playing well myth.
