Clabo given the word to step it up

Poll
Will Tyson Clabo step it up at Right Tackle?
This poll has expired. Voting is no longer possible.
10 votes were received.
Probably 3

30%
Not likely 7

70%

According to Omar Kelly, as reported in today's Sun Sentinel, Jim Turner and or Sherman told Clabo to step up his game or face being benched.

If it's a matter of not putting 100% into playing Right Tackle, then the encouragement (motivational talk) will show results against the Bills. However, if he's not capable of staying with his blocks, and and has been giving it his all, there will be no noticeable difference in his play. Then, we know for sure that his time has come and gone.

The opportunity to excel is ever present; I hope Tyson Clabo meets the challenge and succeeds. thumbs up

a poem for clabo...

Work has been a long routine,
Now it's time to change your scene.
The journey lasted, so many years,
Now get ready, for some cheers.

You have done, a top notch job,
We shall miss you, we may sob.
Freedom will be, something new,
You'll enjoy the brand new view
off you go to sell shoes.

Try new hobbies, have some fun.
No more thoughts about - employ,
Take it easy, and share your joy.
off you go
to knit a sweater and be home.
Im so freaking glad you done.

Samsam--you're a poet and don't know it! grinning smiley

I agree--"do better" huh ! Is like my dad telling me to do better in math.

When I got a 96% he complained, "how come you didn't get 100?"

When I asked for math help he'd say, "I already went to school, you need to figure it out. Stay at it, you'll get it."

Funny, my dad had a lot of hope for me. Maybe like the Miami coaches. He'd show me how to do it once, maybe twice, and walk away. He'd expect me to learn quickly. He expected me to get it fast. I had to or he'd bench me--just kidding. He gave little praise. He expected a lot. Not until he was very old did he reveal his feelings. He learned the hard way, the long way, and it stayed with him. He was doing the same with me. I kept trying and trying--always trying to achieve. This may work with family and may be special between father and son, but I can't imagine it working between coach and player. Good Instruction and repetitive training along with positive comments and a big paycheck is their source of motivation. However, if the player is over the hill and can't perform at a competitive level....it's time to move on.

Again, I hope Clabo is just off his game and has plenty left in the tank to perform well for the Dolphins. I have my fingers crossed for him.

I don't see it.

He's older and he no longer has a HOF TE to lend a hand when needed.

I think he's out of the lineup in a week or two.

Clabo should start packing his bags. And so should OL coach Jim Turner. Apparently the dude is earning a paycheck for nothing.

If this team is banking on individual player talent and doesn't value solid position coaching then this team will suck. Period dot.

Tyson Clabo sucks like a crack whore with the navy in town.
Guy is way past his due date. He is a hack and they will be coming at him from every direction. he needs to be benched , message sent and hope one of the younger guys can step it up. OR they needed to make a trade of some sort following the Ravens game.

Not happy with the progress this bye week......Hope I'm wrong. Or we face less talented defenses. Everyone playing us knows the weak link in the chain though. Clabo should be nicknamed Gash. As in Gash that sunk the titanic.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

There's a major problem if a professional has to be told to step up his game or face benching. The guy is being paid pretty well, and is (supposed) to be protecting the franchise QB. If that doesn't get someone to play at a constant high level, then he doesn't belong in the NFL.

He should already be in a backup role.

Okay--so as of this morning, the poll is 70% who vote believe that Clabo will not improve.

So as is the movie Dumb and Dumber--"there's a chance." smiling bouncing smiley

Isn't his lazy attitude exactly why Atlanta cut him?
