Marvin Austin 6'2 312 lbs former 2nd round pick (#52) from Giants injured rookie year with torn pec. Was viewed as a top 10 pick prior to suspension in college along with Greg Little and Robert Quinn for improper benefits.

Yup...

his most notable moment as a Giant was probably the fourth quarter hit this preseason that injured Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez’s shoulder. oops

This also means somebody is getting sent down...but who?

Unless someone goes IR -- Watkins or Clutts would be my guess…

Clutts has played a lot. Watkins has not even been activated yet.Maybe even Josh Kaddu or Mike Gillislee

I don't think they'd dare let Josh Kaddu go -- if for no other reason than he's BFF with DJ -- and why risk unbalancing the dudes mind?

Plus -- I have Kaddu as one of our "sleepers" on the roster. And I know Ireland values my feedback. A lot.

Can't see Mike Gillislee hitting the street -- he'd be claimed immediately and nothing but a lost draft pick.

There could be a trade somewhere -- that would be hgher probability IMO.

But hey. What do I know?

No great loss there. He was not playing well as a 4-3 DT.

Excluding injuries -- this move looks good on paper in terms of "acorn" potentiality and driving teams "nuts."

vaughn martin? I thought he was playing well---he's on IR? Am I mixing him up with someone else?

i dunno why eesti is always hating on Gilly. Gillislee has got more talent than Daniel Thomas. I think he could even start without this team losing a beat.

Seems like a good pick up on paper this Marvin Austin, I wonder why the G-men let him go though?

Philbin said Austin had a tryout with the team last week and “stood out.”

Yea, based on girth -- me thinks he "stood out" eating burgers and fries

hating? It's not like he was the talk of training camp. He did nothing in preseason. How exactly am I hating? b/c I said he has shown nothing? Has he even been active yet this year? Are you another Gator fan?

> Gillislee has got more talent than Daniel Thomas.

Based on what exactly? Where is this talent you speak of? Where has he shown it? Thomas last year in college: 1585 yards and 19 td's, 5.3 ypc. Gillies last year: 1152 and 10, 4.7 ypc

I'm not really hearing a beat yet so that isn't much to live up to.

I wish he was the next Shady McCoy but I've seen nothing as of yet to get excited about. He has been red shirted.

I double checked, BNF. Just to make sure of my own self. Nope. I had nothing to do with the diverting of the thread. I know you didn't accuse me but when I read your post, I accused myself.
