Long appears to be officially gone

The flurry on LB's may have cost us in other areas

get Winston under contract

Get agressive for Dumervil if released, although at his asking price it may not happen. If not look at Umenyiora for a 1 year deal

Bring Brent Grimes in for a physical and discussion

With mediocre CB's getting $5M-$6m, Patterson's $4M doesn't seem too bad! He looked better than Smith last year.

Will have to look for WR, CB, DE OL, RB, & TE in draft

I'd sign Gibson and deal Bess.

If Dummerville doesn't hit the market or prices himself out of it, then I'd go get John Abraham over Osi.

He'll be a cheaper 2 year contract.

Adam Shefter is reporting that the Ram's courtship of Jake long is not a done deal;
Unlike Sean Smith, who never received a formal offer from the Miami Dolphins, Jake Long is being actively recruited to stay. It is believed the St. Louis Rams have made an offer to Jake Long after hosting him in St. Louis for the past 2 days, and Long is currently deciding between the Rams and the Dolphins.
Stay tuned.

I think Long comes back. If the Rams were offering him what he wanted he'd have signed already. So their offer isn't blowing him away, just as ours did not. Tie goes to the wifey, who wants to stay in FLA. I just hope we're not paying him more than 6.5mm per year.

Barrett Jones' college career is littered with fundamental structural breakdowns (ankle, shoulder, foot) and NO FREAKING WAY we make the same mistake we did with soLong!

Why take Barrett Jones @ 12 when you could get him in the bottom of the second? He may be versatile but not in the same category as Cooper and Warmack.

It seems the Dolphins will either resign Long or find a RT in FA. Their pursuit of Long may signal they don't anticipate taking a tackle @ 12. Probably since all 3 elite players will likely be gone.

That doesn't rule out taking a LG but they could be gone as well.

They are also looking at John Abraham. I like him better than Freeney. He still produced last year (10 sacks) and many more pressures.

They seem to be narrowing down the possibilities @ pick 12.

Other than looking at Chris Houston (re-signed) and Captain Munnerlyn, I haven't heard of much interest in FA CB's.

Signs are pointing to the phins taking Xavier Rhodes at 12 but I hope not. I am still pushing for an offensive player...or they may like their chances of finding one in round 2.

Austin, Rhodes,Werner, or Ansah are
Our likely picks at 12

A question is can we wait on DE until 2014
And sign Abraham or Freeney for a year?

Carradine might be avail in the second

If the front office wants Long back the I want him back. No one should know the status of his health better than those guys.

soLong's health is based on duct tape, cotter pins, assorted staples and some rubber bushings.

I think you could add several players to that list depending on who falls. Star Lotulelei, Jonathon Cooper, Chance Warmack, Lane Johnson, Cordarelle Patterson...etc

It is looking like as many as 3 QB's could be going before 12 pushing more talent our way. Manuel, Barkely and Smith could go to the Cardinals, Raiders & Bills.

I think Geno Smith goes in the top 10 but no way do Barkley or Manuel or anyone else go that high. but it would be great for us if they did.

Let me have a wide receiver or OT in the first round.

man this OT in the first round talk is depressing.
Perhaps if Jockle or Fisher were there, but they will be long gone. Maybe if the 2 OGs are supposed to be all time greats I could deal with it. But just taking the 3d or 4th best OT for the sake of doing so, I am not on board with that.

More depressing would be when they carry The Real Deal in a stretcher because he got rocked from the blindside.

Warmack & Johnson would be interesting
But we can get decent OL In 2-4 and

Trade down a bit ?

I think we would have last year if
Dallas hadnt jumped to get the Db

If Barkely is healthy and shows it at his pro day, he'll go before #12.

I think Manuel will have the best career out of all of the QB's in this draft but the name I've been hearing/reading that is picking up 1st round momentum is Nassib from Syracuse.

I just don't see it. But who knows.
