Fasano is one of the best blocking TE's in the league, do you remember the block he made to spring RT for his first rushing TD? Fasano didnt blow a bunch of blocks last year... Can you give us one example of one of those blocks he missed that blew up a play, or do you think we all missed them watching tape last year, but several anonymous guys on twitter saw them?
I like the Dustin signing, if he can stay healthy the guy has a huge upside... I just listened to his conference call with Jesse, and he comes across very well and educated... A Purdue boy I believe, Chyren didnt u spend some time at Purdue?

But didn't we sign a SLEW of tight ends in the last draft?????? 88 Jeron Mastrud 84 Michael Egnew
87 Kyle Miller
I'm not so much concerned with Fasano because I never could figure out why they didn't play those tight ends they drafted to see what they looked like but damn.
I thought maybe Tyler Eifert in the draft but damn.
What happens to those tight ends?
Edited to add.
See, this is another thing IN ADDITION TO NOT GIVING PLAYING TIME TO YOUR DRAFTEES.
The second thing is that this proves THE FOLLY of "trading down".
Ireland trades downs and trades down and picks up a bunch of Egnews and Mastruds and then ends up signing a Dustin Keller in free agency later and we continually have a team composed of "has beens and never was"s.

I don't think you can just play Egnew if he wasn't ready. He could have gotten someone hurt with bad blocking.
I also don't believe we drafted Mastrud and Miller.
Keller is in his 5th year and a former 1st round pick with the potential for 700 yards/7 td's. He is also motivated to earn a new deal since he signed a one year deal.
Keller has been a baller against our D - I'm glad he's here. I expect THill to have some decent numbers this year with the level of talent that's being added to his disposal. Seems Ol' Jeffery boy isn't going down without a fight in his contract year, that's for sure.
