I believe they are just "kicking the tires" to see what is out there, both for filling out their roster and also to get a good gauge on what price these players are looking for. Both are players that would be considered ascending. Hartline's stats are FAR better, excluding TD's. No way he deserves Hartline money. He's probably worth $4-4.5 per for 4 or 5 years.
