Players that should not have made it.....

NFC DE

Jason Pierre-Paul: 6 1/2 sacks. Really?
Julius Peppers: 7 sacks

Any number of DE's had a better year than these guys. This is a joke. I know it's not all about sacks but...WOW

AFC DE

Elvis Dumerville: 8 sacks

Chris Clemons should have gotten the nod here or even Mario Williams.

AFC DT

Haloti Ngata: The Ravens had the 23rd ranked rush defense. This is by reputation only. They really need to eliminate the fan voting.

This should have gone to Paul Soliai. If not him then Shaun Cody, Texans, Casey Hampton, Pit or even one of the DT's from Denver.

AFC OLB

Robert Mathis: He was the 28th ranked OLB in sacks. This is a no brainer that it should have gone to Justin Houston, KC with 10 sacks.

AFC ILB:

Derrick Johnson: There were better ILB's around the AFC.

AFC FS:

Ed Reed: Better years by other free safeties . Jairus Byrd for one.

AFC SS: LaRon landry

Rashad Jones should have gotten this.

AFC Center:

We all know Mike should have made it over Maurkice. (Jeff Saturday made it for the NFC on past reputation alone...another joke. He sucked this year)

NFC WR: Victor Cruz (1040/9)...This is just plain stupid. Vincent Jackson (1334/8) had a much better year...as well as Dez Bryant (1311/12)

It's basically another fan sham illusion constructed by the league.

Nothing more than "American Idol" popularity which has zilch to do with real talent.

My opinion. Of course.

If they (the nfl) didn't provide an element of name recognition the ratings would be worse than they already are. Like everything else about the nfl it's not about fairness, it's about marketing. Hasn't worked on me so far.

Sometimes the right players are honored; often times the right player is ignored by the voters. Coaches and players know who the real threats are, the real playmakers...the ones they have to prepare to overcome each week, that's were the spotlight talent is.

They really should scrap the Pro Bowl and concentrate on getting the HOF right.

Have always not liked the game and the fact that it gave Marshall a platform from which to bad-mouth his QB last year was a real low point for me. I could care less if they ever play another one.
