He was signed as our 3rd CB...but the plan was to use him as the boundary corner and put davis in the slot....that is until Davis got traded.

It depends on who we bring in and what their skill sets are So he could end up starting or being the 3rd corner. But I don't think we sign a free agent over him.

If we bring back Smith, and thats a big "if", then he and Marshall go into next year as the starters. Carroll gives us a decent/devloping CB off the bench and we'll draft two guys. One early that will hopefully push Marshall for the starting spot.

Don't see us signing two FA (one being Smith) CB's for 14-16mill AND paying Marshall $5.5mill.

Don't forget that GM's regularly redo deals to create CAP space, and more contracts have signing bonuses that kick in later...so while you can average out a deal in theory...the actual CAP hit in each year is different.

You may have a different set of priorities ...but money is not really the limiting factor.

If we sign Wallace we still have to all our picks who will get paid according to draft position not player position. So if it is Wallace and a 1st round WR that means we invest less in another area of need.

I personally do not wish to watch Tannehill struggle to find open WR's because teams double team Wallace and no-one else has the speed to stretch the field.

Ireland will double down on WR. 1 FA plus 1 draft pick or 2 of each.

And he has the books open...so I am sure he will find the money to make it work.

When I read this I thought to myself, "But who is to say that Ireland will even see that Wide receiver is the number one crucial problem even though we have a quarterback who desperately needs that help?"

Then I said to myself, "Oh, come the hell on, Bob, EVEN IRELAND could not be that blind."

Well, why did I post this then?

For some reason, I just want it on record around in April after the draft.

Find the money?

doesnt the phins got like 50 mill cap space next year....If he doesnt find the money...well.....its because he wants this organization to fall off the cliff.

1. we drafted a qb in the 1st round for the first time since dan

2. i wouldnt be mad if we go receiver Tend and OL the rest of the draft..

Then find a corner and a passrushing specialist in free agency..

Again the lord knows we have cap space this year.

Just get tanehill the weapons please.
