Starters: Tannehill, Martin
Backups: Vernon (2nd string), Miller, Egnew, Randall (2nd string)
Practice Squad: Cunningham, Matthews, Kaddu
I think that 3 years from now we will look back and see that this was an excellent draft class. Also, believe that some of the un-drafted free agents will make the final 53 cut: Shelby, Fuller, Samuda...
They are on Egnew's butt because they think he can become a player. I really like the fact that they are so complimentary of Shelby. That is quite a coup when you can get a good DE after the draft is over.
This draft will depend on Tannehill. Yes the other guys show promise, but if Tannehill doesn't pan out then the draft will be seen as a failure. Fortunately, Tannehill looks like he has the goods too.
A solid draft I think Ireland did a good job. I thought they got greedy w/ Egnew we did not really need him and from what I read it seems like this kid just does not get it.

Thats OK. Ireland will draft another worthless TE next year.
You know the funny thing is, SamSam, how POOR a talent evaluator Ireland is. Every expert said that the Egnew pick was a head-scratcher in the 3rd round.
Had we not picked him, I wonder in what round he would have been picked.
Man...we guess, we speculate, we have no idea....but Ireland is paid to know....He fits these words better than us. More of the same....assessing talent appears to be like nailing Jello to the wall for him. However, I'm not upset about the cuts so far. The dead wood needs to go. Maybe we'll get lucky and keep someone who actually performs. You know like--WRs need to run a pattern and "catch the ball."
