Philbin seems to be a high-character guy. I doubt Johnson survives this kind of thing as far as making the roster.

He married her about a month ago, the whole marriage seems like a Twitter media stunt to me. As far as Chad goes, this is way out of charachter for him, to the best of my knowledge this is his first run-in with the law?

i think philbin needs to cut him. how can he keep him around after that speech to him about needing to represent the team properly?
strangely, but hard knocks I think actually will play into this. the whole world now knows about what philbin said to johnson b/c it was televised, now if philbin doesn't come down hard he will look weak

I am already sick of johnson and he hasn't even played a real down for us yet. good riddance

He's not, and Philbin will more than likely cut him this week; especially with good old Hard Knocks in progress. Maybe they can bring back Greg Camarillo from Minnesota since there will be an additional roster spot to compete for. That's if Camarillo can still play, he's currently listed as an UFA and not assigned to any team. They guy was never a diva and dropped very few passes, he might fit well in a West Coast offense.

I think you are probably right Berk.

This is why I wasn't in favor of signing him.

But I think they need to do their due diligence on this issue.

That involves hearing his side of the story and even, if possible, her's.

At the end of the day its really hard to see how he's on this team when they play Carolina next week.

i just don't think johnson is worth the trouble at all. we can sign another player to drop passes

Well, he certainly got the headlines he wanted, it's front page FOX, CBS, MSNBC, and ABC news webisites this morning. Front page no less.

What a shame for CJ and the nteam. The whole hard knocks thing could have been a boon for the team minus this CJ drama.

Oh well at least they have their story now, I feel bad that Philbin has all this ancillary BS vs more football focus.

That's just it though; Chad's never been known to have questionable character. A goof ball, sure, but never anything like this before... it's a shame.
