Reggie Bush?

Looks like he is on his way out. He wont be able to demand much money on the market. But he does bring an excellent game of change of pace. Also, he is a great punt returner?

I would take a fly on him for sure. What about you?

I dont think anybody (other than the Raiders maybe) will give him a big contract.

If he is offered a reasonable offer that is fair market value, would you take him?

winking smiley Especially with Kim here too???

I'd take him. RB is going to be a huge hole for us. Might as well start picking up whoever we can.

Either him or Sproles would suit our needs, Kim would be the icing on the cakethumbs up

the question is do you want Bush or Williams at 3mm per year or Sproles at 1mm per year?

I think he is going to be too expensive.

Would he make a difference if the OL doesn't play well.

The only player i knew who could run behing a bad OL was barry Sanders.

I wouldn't want to replace an injury-prone RB with another injury-prone RB, especially if he requires a lot of money.....give the dolphins employees back their pay cuts and spend less on a free agent RB.

Not only is his a nightmare matchup, but he is also wreaks havoc in the punt return game. He is a legitimate threat to take every return back.

Wreaks havoc? You gouys should check his numbers.

I am not impressed. His yards from scrim have declined every year since coming in the league.

Only had over 1k yfs once....averaged 6.6 punt ret yards last year.

Had one good year returning...

Had 358 yards from scrimmage last year.

Maybe the most over rated player in the league.

The Reggie Bush 2011 model is greatly inferior to the 2005 model..but I know it's hard to forget how fast and quick he was. The key word however is "was".
EEsti is right, he just an -aint now...

D Williams is also another injury risk. No way would I give him a big contract. Played 16 games once and missed 10 games last year.....one year wonder playing behind a dominant line.

We need some speed at RB but not at that price.

Ill take Sproles for a duo Kansas St. backfield.

For Bush, it all depends on the market value. Is he expecting some team to give him a deal that pays him like the star he was supposed to become? Or is he accepting the fact that he is nothing more than a backup RB and return specialist? And one who has had numerous injury issues?

So who on here is paying for his salary out of their own pockets?

well that's never the point. assuming we go back to a salary cap, which we will, every $ spent on one player is a dollar we can't spend on another. so obviously it wouldn't make sense to overpay for bush, given what he brings to the table now

i'd pick him up in a heartbeat for the right price.

it's been covered in this thread, he's a match up nightmare, he can be a change of pace back and he can return punts.

Out of the backfield matched up against a LB, he is a matchup nightmare for a D-coordinator.

If he is such a matchup nightmare why has he never done anything? Why is he being replaced? He was a matchup nightmare in college but not since with the exception of a few games.

He is the rb version of Ted Ginn.

Because he is being paid 11 million dollars and refuses to take a pay cut.

You're wong eesti about the Ted Ginn comparison.

Reggie Bush has 29 TD's rushing and recieving.

He has 4 return TD's.

He sat out almost all year and would have had even more if not injured. To compare him to Ted Ginn is flat out wrong.

4 return tds in 5 years and his last one was three years ago.

29 tds for 5.8 avg per year....not exactly great.

He is a good punt returner but I give the comparison to Ginn bc he was an overdrafted return man.

His yardage numbers stink and he was considered a flop for being picked so high. He has not had much impact as a RB.

I don't hate the guy but I wouldn't go out of my way to get him either.

He had some good receiving numbers but he had one of the best qbs in the league throwing to him and thats all they do is throw it. He won't even touch those kind of numbers in Miami.

This guy is a weapon outside catching passes. When he is one on one, 95% of the time...he is taking it to the house.

I dont like the guy running, but I love him catching passes out of the backfield. He is a weapon.

If Sproles is that much cheaper then I'd rather have him, but Bush has to be in the picture because he fits the type of back we need. I wouldn't overpay to get him though.

I agree, he is worth a shot if his price stays reasonable, nowhere near the 11 million the Saints would have to pay him. ALong with a first rb RB in Ingrahm cost. As well as Piere Thomas and Chris Ivory being solid RB's on the team, Reggie is getting cut. Pete Carroll, might over pay for him though
