Didn't miss the whole game, Monte. Just the first half.

SamSam, the last game I thought the refereeing was one-side in favor of the Heat. This game I thought the same thing.

However, the difference is that in THIS GAME, I believe that the crucial factor was the poor decisionmaking on the part of the Thunder.

I think in THIS GAME, 1423's approach is more applicable than in game 2.

It's one thing for Perkins to brick free throws, but it is unacceptable for Harden and Durant to brick free throws.

Quite simply if the Thunder makes the percentage of free throws they USUALLY do, they win.

Other poor decision making was their attempt to challenge the Trees inside for Miami when they have a pretty effective 3 point shooting team and just as effective a short range jumper team.

And those jump into the 3 point shooter fouls which gave the Heat back to back three made free throws at the line and a six point advantage, were just silly. No way those 3 pointers would have made it any way because in both cases the contact came AFTER THE SHOT WAS LONG GONE.

We have no one to blame but ourselves for this one.

Miami would be foolish to relax in the next game and I don't think that they will HOWEVER the Thunder's saving grace may be the San Antonio series where they were down 2-0 and here they are only down 2-1.

But if they lose the next game, I can hear Dandy Don singing about the electricity.

Chyren, the refs have not been one sided in their bad calls. I can count 6-8 plays a game where Lebron, Wade or Bosh get hammered taking the ball to the rim and nothing is called... If anything I think the Heat get the worse side of the calls... The refs have not been the difference in this series at all IMO. The heat have wanted it more, that is the difference IMO. Durant missing those free throws in the last game was a big deal, Harden not shooting well in the last game, and westbrooks decision making through out the series has been poor. As I said in the Indiana series, it isnt so easy to beat the Heat in a 7 game series... One game here or there, is gonna happen... Go Heat! but I do like the OKC team... If anyone can beat the Heat it is OKC, but their inexperience seems to be costing them games... The heat of controlled most of the games, and are not letting OKC steal games as they were able to do against the Lakers...

I completely agree with your analysis of the play of each of the teams 100%.

We can disagree, as fans are wont to do, about the refereeing because to be honest, one only sees the bad calls against HIS team and ignores the ones against the other team.

I'm probably not looking at non-calls on fouls committed by the Thunder and Heat fans are probably ignoring non-calls on fouls committed by the Heat and bad foul calls called against the Thunder.

But we agree completely about the poor play and poor decision making of the Thunder.

Thats a fair assesment chren. Right on Sr! smiling smiley

PS. I myself see calls go both ways.....Remember its only 3 referees making calls for 10 players on the floor. They do a good enough job for what they have. Its not an easy job to deal with the fans and the media when been a referee.

_______________________________

Chren the refereeing was a nonefactor on this game. It went both ways. didnt you see bosh get thrown down on the floor by perkins and a none call for that...should had definetely been a foul..

The thunder lost the game because they missed all those free throws. that was the main reason....Also the bearded guy played like crap and missed a lot of shots.

Yep! And the Heat missed a bunch. It's almost as if the Heat KNOW they're going to win. Whatever happens between the beginning and end of the game is inconsequential, at least psychologically, to them.

Pat Riles realizes now that this is a beginning of a dynasty.

Next year we get rid of a couple of scrubs and sign a couple of decent players to come off the bench and we will be even harder to beat. Look Out NBA.

I missed this post! smiling smiley

The lakers are not the only good team around man.

I must admit i had my doubts about the heat when they struggled at the beginning in this years playoffs. But everything worked out for the best so far.

I know the heat have not won a championship just yet. But i rather the heat be my team at this point.

Think you got it in the bag, huh, SamSam?

San Antonio surely felt that way being the overall favorite to win the NBA Championship, not having lost a game in how long, being up 2-0 in the series.

As I said before, these Kids have no quit.

Wouldn't it be funny if they came back and stormed three straight.

Teams in the Finals with a 3-1 lead are 30-0.

If OKC comes back and wins the ring, it would be an All-time accomplishment and an All-time epic fail on Miami's part.

The Heat deserved to win and the Thunder DESERVED TO LOSE.

It would have been unfair to the Sports Gods to have the Thunder win.

The Heat at all times put a five man CORPORATION on the floor each time THEY were on offense.

The Thunder, to the contrary, had five independently owned small business man stores on the floor each time THEY were on offense.

Each time the Heat had the ball on their side of the floor, there were a million passes between them before the right shot was taken.

When the Thunder had the ball, every guy who got it from the guy who brought it across the time line kept the ball and tried to figure out any way possible he could make the shot himself, when, AND ONLY WIN, he realized that he could not take a shot did he then attempt to pass it whereupon one of the following things would happen...

a) it was intercepted
b) the man who he passed it to had an impossible shot with time running out.

I saw a thousand steals of the Ball by the Thunder and when they were racing toward the basket, Two Thunder men on one Heat guy, the a--hole with the ball never passed it once. As a result the shot was blocked and the Heat ended up retrieving the ball.

That friggin' coach must be terrible to let such lack of common basketball discipline exist.

The Thunder's defensive strategy stunk as well.

Like the stupid announcers advised, they tried to figure out a way to stop LeBron James.

You can't do that with a SuperStar!

When you have a superstar like that in basketball, you have to concede him his points but just make damn sure you stop everyone else.

They concentrated on LeBron, just as LeBron figured they would, and he kicked it out to all those 2nd string gumbies WHO JUST KILLED THE THUNDER WITH THREE POINTERS.

And in the end, Le Bron got his fair share ANYWAY!

Russell Westbrook (UCLA) was the only bright spot. He'd take the ball, drive in and make his unstoppable jumper.

It was money in the bank. But the Heat didn't say "Wow! We gotta stop Westbrook." They said, "okay, let him have his thing. Let's just stop everyone else."

First off, congrats to the Heat for winning.

Secondly, it seems like the Heat have figured some things out and could go on a run of championships (barring injury).

- DWade has accepted the role of second fiddle to LeBron. Which is how it should be and takes nothing away from Wade. When you have a guy playing the best basketball since late 90's-early 00's Shaq, you have to play off his game. Bosh and Bron seem to be comfortable playing the 5 and 4 as well. All in all, the big three seem far more comfortable in their roles and with each other.

- The Heat will face no more scrutiny about being winless and LeBron being a beta male and all that. The discussion will turn to how many championships instead of can they even get one. Winning one championship relieves a lot of pressure. Plus, Coach Spo won't have people calling for his head nearly as often, so less pressure for him as well.

- The Heat's bench actually started to perform. Haslem, Miller, and Battier had struggled all year. If they can keep this up and return to being very good role players then the Heat will have a good bench finally. Not to mention the progression younger players like Rio and Cole, who will continue to get better. And if Miller retires, then can anyone say hello Ray Allen.

- Last but not least, Bosh and Bron are just entering their prime and will get even better. I'm not saying they will make giant leaps but they will definitely improve parts of their game. Also, Wade is right in his prime and won't decline for another two years or so, as long as his body holds up (big if).

Things are definitely looking good in Miami. OKC has a bright future too but lots of questions about how long they can keep their core together because of financial reasons. Also, they have to play better team basketball, offensively and defensivly (like Chyren stated above). OKC has a lot of unrealized potential which basically means they have a lot of work to do.

A superstar can be stopped chren when you double team him...But we got other players that can make plays like you saw.....We are a deep team....

Wade bosh are not up to lebrons level but they are close...

Its very hard to beat a team when you have 3 of the top 10 players in the world.

BTW i saw a little quit in the thunder on that last game.

But was the reality that the heat was just too much for them?

the thunder are a very talented young team. trust me if they stay together they will win a few championships IMHO.

I have a feeling we will meet again in the finals.........Hopefully my heat can get rid of a couple of scrubs that we got on the bench and load up on talent as far as role players.

__________________________________________________________________

Negatives....

1. Miller is probably going to retire

2.James Jones i dont trust him anymore.

3. Joel anthony did not see the light of day in the finals. He cant score. He hustles but i think we need an upgrade here.

4. Howard is old and cannot play anymore. He was just there for the ride....Iam happy he got a ring he is a good guy.

5. curry is DONE.

______________________________________________________________________

Positives...First of all we need to be healthy for another run next year. IMO we will.

1. Lebron is in his prime.

2. Wade is still one of the best players in the world and need to stay healthy next year. If we can sign a couple of players thatcan play effectively off the bench and give him a breather so he can play less minutes he still can play a few more seasons. Entirely.

3. Bosh Is a top 10 player in the world. We could not have made it this far without him.

4. Haslem is my main man...he is a true warrior...The warden....He had an off year shooting the basketball but his heart and desire to get the rebounds is one of the main reasons we were a better rebounding team this year. He was hurt last year.

5. Battier....A pleasent surprise...Hitting the 3s....at the right time....a rebounding and defensive specialist....He helped bigtime on the road to the championship.

6. Last but not least MARIO CHALMERS......This kid was a winner in college and he is a winner now in the NBA.......Is there more that can be said about him......Yes....Just one flaw is the handling of the basketball and the careless turnovers......When he fixes that ALA Rondo.......He will be a superstar.....

GO HEAT.

So i drank it a 7 pm and when the game started i was almost falling asleep because the pill relaxes me.......

I slept through the entire game....and i wake up and i hear the announcer say........1 minute remaing...the heat will win their second championship......I couldnt believe i get up and stand in front of the TV........almost asleep.....

My wife is awaking and gets her head up and asks me papi who won....I tell her we won mami...we won.....

I saw it too. Durant and Westbrook didn't quit. Neither did Harden, even though he couldn't hit the side of a barn with his outside shot. It was the other guys that quit. In the 2nd half they let Bosh drive and dunk completely uncontested. They were lazy with their passes, which lead to a ton of turnovers. They were slow getting to rebounds. Face it ChyrenB, the team lost their will to win in the 2nd half. They let the Heat coast.
