I think he made good sense. He is not going to overpay for the value received which I agree with.

"Every quarterback I’ve brought in here, they know, they have to play better,"

In his own words no less.......that's because he's brought in nothing but bad quarterbacks and that's why he has to go....

Garrard won't be any better....

Well we went 6-10, I think we will be much worse this year.

I suspect 2-14 or 3-13.

Okay...makes sense so far.

Meaning, THEY overpaid for those players instead of us overpaying...at least in Ireland's opinion.

Here's where you lose me. What do you mean by "a lot of money?" You mean we have a lot of money under the salary cap? I'm no cap-ologist, but I keep reading we don't have enough $ under the cap. And if I'm mistaken, perhaps they're saving it to sign draftees.

I would agree with you *if* we remain millions and millions under the cap and ownership/management is keeping a low total payroll in order to make more profit. But I think they'll eventually spend up to cap. To not do so would make them all the names you're calling them and more.

WTF are they waiting for? Why isn't Jake long signed to a contract extention? Why wasn't it done months ago? You want to trade him? Then Fing do it! I'm sorry......Go one way or another. But they seem to be sitting on there asses while other teams ALL in OUR DIVISION ,2 that were in the playoffs, are getting better, not worse. Your OK with that, great. We have actually gotten worse. Why did they dump Yemiah bell? Wasn't he just picked up by New England? great move. Sorry........DOUCHES . And I stand by it .

We could not afford Manning at 20 mil per year and the feeling is that Flynn was not worth 9 mil per year. Marshall was not worth what he was getting so, I'll reserve judgement on Ireland until after the draft.
He might be a douche to work with but, I agree with most of his football moves unless we find out later that Philbin really wanted Flynn but was over-ruled.

Oh my... someone is in a severe need of an enema. Good luck with that.

Also, you may want to consider hiding your money. I heard that Ireland is tired of fielding even a shitty team, and will be coming by your house shortly to collect your cash at gunpoint.

Last time I checked, douches were for Vagina's. NOT ASSHOLES. Never said ireland was stupid, but he is a Pussy.

And believe me if Ireland came anyway near my residence, he would be greeted with more firepower then he could handle.

So what you're saying is, you have an arsenal of vinegar & water on hand for such an emergency. I've heard of hurricane preparedness, but this is particularly impressive!

We all have to admit that the league is way out of wack when it comes to players salaries.

Saying that, the majority of the free agents who are really worth going after cost too much. Peyton at 5 years, $95M. What was Mario Williams, around $90M? Any of these top guys who are FA are going to cost a lot of money, and Miami just doesn't have the money.

FAs "usually" don't work out anyway. There are reasons why they are FAs. I remember when Shula was on his last legs and he got a bunch of FAs who were former #1 draftees. Miami went nowhere that season. It just doesn't work. There are exceptions, of course.

Post Parcells drafts haven't been too bad, so give Ireland this draft to see what he can do. If he fails, I highly doubt Ross will retain him.
