Cowher would be the only one I would consider on that list and he doesn't want to coach.

I don't want someone who doesn't want to coach. We have already been down that road...(Johnson & Saban).

The owner wants a young Don Shula and Ireland wants someone with experience.

How about Mike Shula?

I still say Jeff Fisher fits that description perfectly.

We would be dumb to pass over on Jeff Fisher.

I agree A&O, but why am I the only vote for Fisher in this poll?

I'm hoping for Gruden. He's got the intensity and the experience. he WANTS to prove he is the real deal. He's still young enough to bring it. Hard. I want Gruden for christmas Santa. smiling smiley

RE: NO, heavens NO!...he's been mentioned as an option, so he's here. And for the record Jay Gruden would have been on the poll but I forgot about him when I made the poll.

RE: Ummmm, are you serious? The OC for New Orleans and Pittsburgh respectively. Both have been mentioned as potential candidates.

Everybody knows that Sean Peyton runs the Saints offense.

As far as P-burgh---ehhh...not sure.

As long as Mike Martz and McDaniel arent on the list......i'm happy. I don't even want either one of those guys to come to Miami on a vacation!

I have a hard time believing a guy as intense as Gruden is content to give up on coaching at such a young age and settle for broadcasting.

You can tell by his attitude on Monday Night Football that he desperately wants to get back in the saddle. He's the kind of guy who loves being a coach. It's so obvious.

I'd be willing to be that he signed that contract with ESPN simply to avoid dealing with any questions about coaching for the rest of the year. It was also conveniently signed after the Dolphins gauged his interest, and we told he would not entertain their offer as long as Sparano was still the HC.

I hitnk its going to be either Gruden or Fischer, and now I think it is basically Fischer's job to take.

Someone who I think is very good at judging coaching potential and landing coaches is the athletic director at U of Louisville. Tom Jurich.

I wonder if Ross is searching for good coaching evaluators. If we could find someone who is young and on the rise.

Maybe the football godz have a plan for the Miami Dolphins.

I will be shocked if Ross does not annouce that Fischer has been hired on Dec 3, 2012.

Yeah, wait until 3/4 of the next season is over with. That'd be JUST like our savvy owner, wouldn't it.

(or you really meant Tuesday Jan 3, 2012, first business day of the new year) winking smiley

Joe Philbin or Pete Carmichael are the two coordinators that intrigue me.

But Twilley,

Does it make you wonder that those two guys dont even run their own respective offenses?

The Head Coaches, do. Mike McCarthy and Sean Peyton.

Just wondering what you thought about that...
