Ive never seen a dolphins team this good.

I've been watching Miami Dolphins football since the early 80's. This is the first time I have seen a complete BALANCED TEAM functioning on all cylinders. We have a passing attack, a running game, defense, special teams,etc.. The Marino years were all passing, the Ricky years were all running. Another thing is we are DOMINATING GAMES usually the Dolphins played close games or came in outmatched needing some magic to pull off a win.

OVERVIEW:
-Balanced team
-Dominating games
-Young Roster
-Coach players like playing for
-Young scrappy, gunner QB, who plays with alot of heart.
-Creative O coordinator that knows how to make the offense move.
-Proven D coordinator with a great defensive history.
-Solid special teams.
-GM who has found talent and knows our coach.

Why slowly start dismantling every thing we ever wanted? I don't get it. Everything is finally working. If we break this up we will be our own worst enemy.

Your absolutely insane.

Our QB position is our achilles heal. And when that is the issue....your franchise will remain mediocre.

I promise you, if we put our trust in Moore next year without a serious rookie, we are screwed.

Name me a more balanced Miami team (not counting the 70's teams.)If you start removing coaches there will be a domino effect and switching qb's just for a name makes no sense. It is a delicate balance. You' re willing to jeopardize all we have going for 1 flashy named qb who has never played a snap at the NFL level. We finally have a system in place and that is way more valuable then 1 great player.

Also I would be interested to know what coaches and which QB you think is the answer. Everbody seems to speak of these amaazing mythical players and coaches without giving names. Its easy to be the critic.

Slow down, dude. We've still only won 4 games this year. The only real blow-outs we've had are Buffalo and Oakland.

Why slow down? I've been watching lopsided Miami dolphins teams for years. The team and system is coming together now is the time to feel good.

Heres another thing to consider you can't just throw a bunch of big names together. For example bringing in a guy like Cowher might cost you to lose Nolan and Daboll and if you put Cowher(super conservative) with Luck it probably won't work. Another thing is other teams will be snatching bits and pieces so maybe you get Cowher but some of the coaches he wants gets snatched. I don't see any way to improve upon what we already have with out losing alot more.

We won by 11 points. I don't consider that a blowout.

I totally agree with Sleekdog. Watching the dismantling of Oakland was alot more exciting than sitting around with my thumb up my a$$ waiting for the draft. I really wonder about some of you fans and some of the ideas that I have been reading on this forum. Did somebody really suggest trading all our draft picks for Luck?? I'm still chuckling over that one. Does anybody really believe that the combination of RG3 or Luck and Cowher/Gruden/Fischer will be instantly more successful than Marino and Shula. Get real. Enjoy the team finally playing exciting football and quit agonizing over something that you have absolutely no control over.

In what way am I carried away? I have stated signs of improvement that have happened to this team. People say I'm crazy. You know what I think is crazy is not admitting this team is playing some good football now that is delusional. Heres what I believe some liked making fun of Sparano and making fun of Matt Moore saying they will never be anything and now that they are having success it burns their a**. Instead of eating the crow they keep pushing it away not accepting that they were wrong. Now that makes perfect sense.

yeah sleekdog i dont know if this is the best team i ever seen but definetly the best team i can remember in the pass 15-20 years or so. Right now i think we are playing as well as anyone and in the afc i think there is not 4 teams playing better than us. I sometime think about what if our own fans didnt wish such bad omen on us we might be 6-6 or 7-5 and in the playoff hunt. We are definetly a team that other people dont want to see. I get so tired of people looking at records and not looking at the game. right now we ARE the hottest team in the entire NFL.

I think we are playing good football as a unit now. But getting carried away is saying that this team is better than Marino's teams or even David Woodley's team the year before him that went to the SuperBowl and lost to Riggins and the Redskins. Now those teams were not as balanced as Griese's teams but hey, they were light years better than our team now. But there a lot of space between saying that and saying that the team now is no good. That's not what I'm saying.

I don't poo-poo the play of this team but let's not get carried away and put it better than some of the best Dolphin teams in history.

Heres what I
> believe some liked making fun of Sparano

He deserves it! He's a joke!

and
> making fun of Matt Moore

He DOESN'T deserve to be made fun of. He's doing a great job now. And He is assuming control of the play selection, unlike Henne who let Sparano call the plays.

saying they will never be

> burns their a**. Instead of eating the crow they

That ain't me. I say don't forgive Sparano and fire his butt and go on to keep rebuilding the team for next year.

Also, I don't advocate losing games in order to better our draft position.

WE should draft a QB to solidify our position....but to say Moore is our achillies heel is not a valid statement by any stretch.

I am not convinced he is a 'Superbowl QB', I am not convinced that he can continue to be this effective once Defense's get enough film on him.

BUT...since Marino, Pennington is the only QB who played better than Moore is playing now.

Moore is spreading the ball around, hitting the TE, the WR's, the slot, the RB's and he is running the ball. And he is doing all of this without a true #1 WR. How good would he be playing if he had a Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, type guy? Even a Vincent Jackson would bust this offense wide open.

Like I said, I want to draft a QB because this could be a 1 year wonder. But right now, Moore is not our problem. We are playing very well.

We won by 11 points. I don't consider that a blowout.

Are you people Kidding me!!? We won 4 of the last 14 games. And you are calling this the Best team!? You people are so delusional. You want it so bad your willing to believe this is still a quality Football organization. 4 games. Thats all it takes to elevate this crapfest in your eyes? Sorry, but I have slightly higher standards. Like an above .500 average before I call ANYTHING even DECENT , let alone "Great" or "Best" at anything.

I just read the article on Yahoo! about Archie Manning's comments regarding Luck on the Colts. Frankly, this draft is going to be a goofy but exciting one. I think the Colts are in a pickle as it relates to having both Luck and Manning on their roster at the same time...and I love it. Something's going to have to break on their part.

Crazy as it sounds on the surface, I don't think it's a terrible idea to consider trading away nearly 100% of the 2012 draft for Luck if you're convinced he's the next Manning. Think of it this way...would you give up Vontae Davis, Pat White, Sean Smith, Patrick Turner, Brian Hartline, John Nalbone, Chris Clemons, Andrew Gardner and JD Folsom (2009 draft used because it was average or better than average, IMO) for a 22-year old Peyton Manning? We're talking about a very solid starter, 2 starters who could be upgraded but are decent, a part-time starter and some busts/folks who aren't with us. No offense to those still with us and contributing, but I would...10 times out of 10.

The Miami Dolphins problem is that they do not produce when the pressure is on.

When all teams are right out of the gate, on opening day (or the first 5 to 7 weeks) fighting for position, the miami dolphins are declairing they are the best CB tandom while they can not literally run with other teams because they are out of condition, etc., etc., etc,.

Do not get suckered into this "fools gold" of winning a few games in the middle of the season.

I can remember what it felt like to actually have the dolphins play in the AFC Championship and the Super Bowl. Now we are excited about a 5 week span in the midle of the season after an 0-7 start.

I guess if we were actually in the thick of things now some people would be wetting their pants.

WOW.

4-8

Wins against Kansas City (5-7), Buffalo (5-7 and getting blown out every week), Washington (4-8), and then one quality opponent in Oakland.

Best Dolphins team ever, man.

and oakland was without 3 or 4 of its top offensive players. people are getting WAY too carried away here. and falling steeply down the draft order with each meaningless win is going to hurt the team far more in the future than losing these games would have done. I'll be happy with just one more win this year, against the jets

True is I saw all the problems (some carried over from last year)in the first 2 games this year. It took Tony what 8 weeks to figure it out?

1) playing 10-15 yards off the receivers
2) playing not to lose (not sure he has this one figured out.)

Change those 2 things the first half of the season and THIS team is in the playoffs.

I forgot one.... CALL PLAY ACTION at goal line.

This is a solid team, but the wins are coming against average or below average teams.
