1 TD was set up by the defense. The other was a freak play.

I know our starting D-line wasn't in there, but our D has NOT been terribly impressive against the Giant's 2nd string QB. As for our offense....beyond putrid!

The O-Line DID struggle. Our running game, what little we had, came to a screeching halt. Dan had to adjust, and he did..as any great QB would.

We're certainly NOT Superbowl contenders, but talent wise we SHOULD BE as good as any lower-end playoff team. Well, hopefully Dougherty looks better for us than in his college highlight reels. Who knows? Maybe he could be our Brady! I "doubt" it...but who knows

Cool. Glad you're excited. I'm not...yet. I DO think putting in a rookie QB too early can snuff out that confidence. It happened to David Carr...and he never got it back. For a guy to be confident in the NFL, they have to succeed at what they do. We'll see if Gase gives Tanny a chance...but, more importantly, if Tanny can do something with that chance. If he screws up, then I don't see Tan

Well, may be it will help us win 1 or 2 more home games. Otherwise, unless we can take that grass on the road with us, I doubt it will make much difference

Those rookie records need an asterisk next to them, due to the rule changes that make this a pass-happy league. I won't argue that Tanny has had issues with his O-Line and coach, but Favre played behind a bad O-Line for much of his career as well. Those 2 are as different as can be. Favre was the kind of player that would make coaches tear their hair out. He would often go "off-script&qu

Perhaps many of us have lost the optimism we usually have going into each season. Have all the failures we've had since JJ resigned finally gotten to us? Are we all resigned to the fact that as long as Ross is the owner we won't have a decent team? I know I'm in wait-and-see mode with no anticipations of success. Another rookie coach and GM, a VP none of us have any confidence in, a QB th

How can we be betting on a 2nd-round rookie to be a starter??? WTH was that guy smoking?

Pretty soon we're going to be known as an organization that ruins HC's and lets good assistants go to other teams. So, what's the deal? Do we hire HC's based on their ability to hire assistants??

I question how much of what made him great in college was the performance-enhancing drugs. Remember Tony Mandarich? Once he stopped the steroids he became mediocre.

OT's are engaged on, pretty much, 100% of non-special-teams plays, but LBers are often not impactful (on, say, quick passes to the far side of the field).

You got it!! Our biggest weakness last year was Defense, and this after mortgaging the franchise on Suh. Now what are we left with?? If this staff thinks they are really going to "coach our guys up" to playing better than they did last year, I have a feeling they are going to be sadly mistaken. Our LB corps hasn't been even adequate for years, and I blame that on the move to a 4-3

I'm not particularly impressed with our draft so far. The way I see it, we got LUCKY in the 1st round. Beyond that each of our picks have been reaches. They are either specialists or were drafted too high. The trades we made seemed completely unnecessary. Perhaps these players will surprise in training camp, but so for I am NOT optimistic about our chances to improve.

Tunsil is precisely why you do NOT trade UP in the 1st round (unless you're going after a sure-thing #1 QB like Andrew Luck).

As I stated earlier, I don't recall ANY time in our entire history where moving up OR down in the 1st round was a good idea. We've done well trading 1st round picks for vets, but early draft moves have all proved to be bad
