Quite right, JC, I made a silly mistake- that "g" should have been a "n" and I have edited it to say so. Thanks. (Lack of careful proofreading, I suppose.)

By now, we should be starting to look forward to the opening of training camp (whaddya mean, they don't call it that anymore?!) but this year, who knows what's going to happen? There are two things that are really bugging me this year: 1. Why can't anybody- not a single commentator, local or national- pronounce Tagovailoa's name correctly? there is no "u" or "n" in his nam

I hope so too, but for me the operative word is "develop"- these are first round picks, and I would hope that they could contribute sooner rather than later. On the other hand, even the best starting rookies across the league will need developing - but at least but they will be contributing while they learn.

I had to stop and go read Chris' article because I'm not feeling very good about this pick. The article did make me feel a bit better, but mostly I do believe that Brian Flores, Chris Greer and the rest of the braintrust have earned my support and the chance to prove that this kid is the real thing. I hope that they succeed.

In my opinion, this is a poor draft so far. First they take a smallish brittle QB with talent but whose past history strongly suggests that he won't spend much time on the field against much superior talent than he faced in college, with less than optimal results to his health. Then we take a talented tackle with a health issue, but one that he should recover well from. I would have liked the tea

I definitely did read this about Vegas' picks, but I have since read that the actual (or revised) number is SIX wins. This seems to me to be still pessimestic, but an influx of new talent frequently takes time to jell, and we might not have a particularly good season next year. We are all being told that another year on the sideline will allow Tua to heal completely. As a quote published in the S

I am stunned that the Vegas oddsmakers have us winning just two games next year. I find it amusing, but why would they say something like that? Last year, with minimal talent, we still won five games. So, after signing some excellent free agents and having 14 draft picks (or thereabouts) we're supposed to be substantially WORSE? I don't think so. However, if we were anywhere near that bad, wouldn

According to an interview with a dr. I heard several weeks ago (perhaps on SiriusXM NFL channel 880, but I wouldn't swear to it), he claimed to have seen the films of tua's hip, and his take was that there was damage to the hip socket itself. If true (this seems to agree with what Michael Lombardi stated on his podcast last week about AT LEAST two teams in the top ten failing his physical and rem

According to SiriusXM NFLNetwork Ch.88, ChyrenB's statement is correct. To me, a damaged hip is bad enough, but if the socket is also damaged (they had a dr. on that had actually seen the x-rays) it sounds as if the problem not only could but probably will re-occur. This doesn't sound like a problem we want to have-certainly not at the price of an early 1st round pick.

No. What got us here in the first place was not picking a bonafide franchise QB, regardless of what round we pick him in. It's true that the chances of picking one in the 1st round is twice as high as either the 2nd or the 3rd rounds (they are about the same at around 20%), but it is still a long way from certain, at only 41.3%. This fact means to me that we should be picking a QB every year, in

According to SiriusXM's NFLNetwork Ch.88, Ken is correct. I agree with JC, I like it, too. I think that this is the way the draft should be always. The draftniks, as well as the owners, won't agree with me, but I believe that this is the level of importance that this "event" deserves. Televised, but no crowds- Ch.88 sort of tongue-in-cheek suggested that Roger Goodell could read out the

I agree, we have too many needs just now to go trading them away. Yes, a true franchise QB is really worth as much draft capital as is necessary to get him, but not THIS year! Besides, I'm greedy. I WANT Trevor Lawrence, and I think that whatever we have to give up for him next year will be worth it. Give him the talent we developed last year (to everybody's surprise!) and AT LEAST the draft choi

Omar Kelly's column today is an interesting idea, but I have a feeling that he doesn't mean what I mean- he LOVES Tua. Kelly's column: (deleted so that this post can be read as originally written, though without the link- Kelly's column is all over the internet locally anyway.) My idea- let's move back from 5, get another 1st in next year's draft and use this year's draft to do what we

Seems obvious that he was elected because of what he did in Dallas, certainly not what he did- or, more correctly- didn't do here. I still do not like the guy, and I never will.

Agree. Why would any team be interested in the coach that led our defense to historically low numbers? And, why did our new O-coordinator(2019) whom the head coach brought from the Pats get fired after a very bad, but expected, year? This whole thing is making me uneasy.

You and me both-as well as many others, both here and all over the AFC East and the rest of the league. Brady's last gasp pick-6 pass to seal the loss was an epic fail. I haven't enjoyed a game so much since..the week before.

Well, other than the three votes in the poll by members that didn't feel the need to explain why they voted the way that they did, virtually all the members who posted an opinion pretty much agreed with me. And I agree that #5 is too high to risk on this guy. What I would really like to do is draft Jordan Love with the last #1 that we have this year(if possible) and deal for more ammunition for n

I cannot understand why certain local writers-and some talking heads- are drooling over a college injury-prone, short, left-handed, slow of foot quarterback, with bad ankles and a current hip injury like Tua Taguvailoa. If he is injury prone in college, what is going to happen when he is playing against faster, bigger, more talented players every single week? I'm not a college football guy, so I
