It should have. Skylar Thompson looked like a rookie, no question. However, to me he looked a LOT like Tua last year- he didn't trust his talented players, so he held the ball too long on some plays, and he frustrated me by having plenty of time on some plays but pulling it down and then not getting the ball to where it needed to go. Too many times, his receivers broke open or were open just enou

I agree with you completely. However, it isn't just our games, its all over the league. From what I've heard from several national pundits, the League has told the supervisor of officials that the refs should throw the flag even if they have a doubt about the call. I suppose they think that they will fix it in N.Y. This seems to me to be the exact opposite of what they should do. People don't wat

Early in the season, Tua threw the ball high to Mike Gesicki (it was noted on tv that the pass was "just below the crossbar" ) in the end zone and the tall guy with springs in his legs easily got to it for the score. When you have a 6'6" TE being covered in the endzone by a much shorter DB, why would you throw the ball low to him? Yet the last three passes targeted to him in the en

I think mizzou15 is a bit hard on the defense-but just a bit. They could not get off the field far too many times on third, short or not. The tackling wasn't very good. The linebackers and DBs did a very poor job of controlling the outside. We really only got ONE good stop on third, fortunately in the last moments of the game. The playcalling on our last series, the one inside our own five, was a

After the playoff loss last year, the Bills' fans bitched so much about the overtime rules dealing with the idea that the offense of a team should be able to have a chance to win or tie the game when the other team scores what should be the winning points. The rules committee obligingly changed the rules. This is RIDICULOUS. Every team has an offense, a defense, and special teams, mostly evenly i

"Certainly an upgrade from Teddy"?!? Are you kidding? He has shown some talent, and maybe he has 'IT'. Nevertheless, he hasn't played against the starting talent in this league yet. Takes some time to work up to that. Yes, I agree that we need to keep Thompson, but he's not ready yet, so Bridgewater, with his successful record as a starter, still needs to be the backup at this point. Pe

127. Re: Draft
Yes, and I am a bit disappointed. Taking another WR at this point seems to be overkill at the position, and after the less-than-impressive year that Michael Palardy had as our punter last year, I would have thought that picking a world-class punter would have been a pretty good and somewhat obvious idea. Instead, a division rival gets him, so we will see him twice a year.

128. Re: Draft
Do you really think that ANY of the teams in the league would select a punter not named Ray Guy or Yale Lary before the third round? I think it highly unlikely, so I think that if we wanted this guy, we could get him with a minimum of fuss.

Are the idiot owners trying to destroy their own game? By changing this rule, they have marginalized the defenses! Championship teams are supposed to have championship offenses AND championship defenses. So, if team in the playoffs loses the toss, they have to play defense and stop the opponent's offense. If that team scores a touchdown, this rule change makes it OK that your defense FAILED. You

I still believe what I said, but TCFP, you are right- we need all the help on the o-line that we can get.

Perhaps so. That's one part of the 'culture' here that needs to be addressed- if a guy is productive, so what if he pisses somebody off. That's a poor reason to usher him out of town. This is a billion -dollar business, suck it up.

I wish I could tell where I read it (or heard it), but I watch and read so much about the league that I just can't recall. Pro football has been my only sports interest since 1961, so that I immerse myself in the league so completely that sometimes it's hard to recall the origin of any particular bit of information that I have come across. Sorry.

TCPF, you are wrong. Look it up. The Broncos made it plain that Elway, who has a terrible track record on the QB position, wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with this QB search. If he had anything at all to say about it, it wasn't until it was a done deal and, as the general manager, he had to acknowledge the trade. Nothing more.

It seems to me that a lot of you guys as well as the media are taking a hell of a lot for granted. This guy missed 9 games last year with an elbow injury and he had knee surgery. Aren't you guys sick and tired of bringing in injured players? I know that I am. I still believe that the linemen we have drafted high in the draft can't all be busts, they had too much talent coming out of college. I t

Elway may know something about most positions on the field, but he has no clue about qbs. You can pump him up all you want, but look at the qbs he's brought in- a poor group at best. So, he bows out of this qb search, and...BINGO!

Sounds like he has the same problem as the rest of our o-line - he needs coaching up really badly.

When it comes to QB's, John Elway doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Just look at a list of the players he's brought in to play the position. That's why it was deseminated widely and loudly by the Broncos that he didn't have anything to do with their QB search- or the acquisition of Wilson.

He certainly is a talented receiver, but is Omar Kelly right? Does the defense know that a pass is coming because he's on the field and cannot block?

I've always liked this guy, but I don't know the state of his health, and I also don't know what else might have figured into his release besides money. If we could get a year or two out of him at a decent price, I agree- go get him!

I think it's clear why we don't want this guy. 1. No criminal charges will be filed, but there are STILL 22 civil complaints for sexual misconduct on him. Do you really want this guy as the face of the franchise? 2.He hasn't played a football game for at least a year. Yes, he's young and maybe talented, but will he be the player that he was? and for how long? 3. Why did he want to come to

I'm not wild about getting any tackle at that exorbitant price tag, and I wonder why the Jets, who don't have the best offense, would let a solid RT leave in free agency? They don't grow on trees, ya know?

I don't understand why there was any question about re-signing Ogbah- the team needs to re-sign any player who gets the job done on a consistent basis, and Ogbah has. The defense also plays better when he is in there, as was obvious when he was out hurt. For me, this one was important to get done.

I haven't seen too much of Edmonds since he played in Arizona, and I find his numbers ok but nothing more. I thought we had a pretty good handle on the RB position at the end of last year. Now, Duke Johnson is a free agent and I haven't heard anything about Phillip Lindsay at all lately. The guys we do have under contract didn't get the job done in the earlier part of last year, so I understand h

No, but maybe we'll get lucky for a change. First thing: can the guy hire a good-or even decent- staff? Get us a GREAT offensive line coach! Does anybody have a problem with Mike Munchak for the o-line? Its just an idea, I would like opinions on him or any other o-line coach that fits the bill.

I never liked Madden as coach of the Raiders, as they were a major rival of the Dolphins in those days, but as a broadcaster he was an unparalleled star. He was not only a brilliant student of the game, he was able to pass that knowledge on to generations of football fans in his exuberant style. And, to my surprise, he was a personable guy and so good at his job as to set a really high bar for to
