Thanks for recovering my post, I'm not sure why it completely disappeared when I tried to post it. TCPF, I hope you are right. Unfortunately, I don't have any confidence in this kid. Never did.

Ken, while I have always admired your opinions, I believe that you are mistaken about this kid. Did you see ANYTHING that makes you believe that he is worth putting your trust in? I didn't. He apparently can't throw downfield, he doesn't make good decisions very often, he is S-L-O-W, he produces too little offense and too many 3-and-outs and seems lackadaisical. This year, he played 1/2 of decent

We NEED to find a franchise QB in there somewhere. We DO NOT have one now.

Look, I know that many of the posters on this site were not on board with the drafting of Tagovailoa. The posters on here are knowledgeable about the game, team, and some of you are well-versed on college football. So, many of us were not on board with that draft pick. These do not owe an apology to anybody, but I think that the rest of you need to own up to the fact that this kid isn't the QB th

Can ANY of you give me a good reason why we should put up with this incompetent kid who is terrible as well as being a health risk? I was angry all off-season that podcasters Travis Wingfield of the Drive Time podcast, Kyle Crabbs of the Locked on Dolphins podcast, and especially Omar Kelly of the X's and Omar podcast were adamant that we absolutely would pick Tua. I wonder if any of them have th

I don't disagree, JC. I wasn't for drafting him, either. However, we did so I was hoping that he would change my mind - but he hasn't done so to this point.

It was certainly an excellent play call. Good thing everybody reported eligible.

What's not to like? He did make 1 dumb comment. But hes also still a kid." Of course he is, but I don't care about some comment. I care what I am seeing on the field, and I'm not even near being impressed. I'm willing and I want to be convinced, but he hasn't shown me anything to be impressed about. I'm tired of being nearly as hoarse as I would be at the stadium, screaming at my TV at hi

I simply can't believe that normally intelligent football fans are being willfully blind about this mediocre kid Tua Tagovailoa (apparently only Joe Rose can pronounce the kid's name correctly). I keep hearing patently silly statements like this one: "Tua learned from his foibles of the first half. He's learning!" What did he see that makes him believe this? The kid can't throw lo

You're right, we are. It is also clear where we are weak and what we need to bring in to make it possible for us to compete with the best teams. However, unlike most of you guys, I believe that QB is one of those positions. I just don't like this kid and I hate like fire to have to depend on an ordinary QB picked 5th overall to lead a team with so much talent.

That sure would be great for us, wouldn't it? An awful Jests team with a Trevor Lawrence screwed up by the QB guru, Adam Gase. Gag. I guess we do need to thank him for making us bring in Brian Flores, though. We definitely made out best on that deal.

I can't see any way in the world that Gase stays with the Jests. I don't think that they want Gase anywhere near Lawrence. I was astonished that they hired him at all..much less so soon after we fired him.

Gentlemen, I desperately hope he gets better. At this point, he's far too ordinary for a 5th overall pick.

"He is got balls to throw the football. He dont wait 7 seconds in the pocket until he gets sacked. He is intelligent, he has pocket awareness. Has accuracy which is his best asset...Not the greatest arm but not the worst either. Ive seen him throw the football with some sip especially in the run." "Tua is a confident person. He backs it up with high performance." I thin

I didn't want to draft this injury-prone Tua kid in the first place, I didn't believe in him and still don't, he's already missed games and is banged up again, he's not as accurate as I was led to believe, and he doesn't appear to be able to play an entire game well. Last week, one good half. This week, one decent quarter. he does not seem to be getting any better. Not saying he is a bust yet,

Well, not really. You can argue that foolish mistakes and poor tackling, as well as lots of other reasons, lost us this game, and I'd have to agree with you. But..Have they changed the rules? It was always a first down if the nose of the ball reached the stick. That last measurement DID NOT reach the stick, CLEARLY. It appears that the rule is now that the nose of the ball has to go past the red-

I keep hearing the mindless refrain "He is a rare talent" about Tua Tagovailoa. Really? On what do you base that? College is over. Now, he has to play with the big boys. Lots of big-time college talent don't make it in the pros. What makes you think that he will? All the local media act and talk like it is a foregone conclusion, but it's NOT. I remember Marino's first camp. We knew

Why - or, even how - can a TV station waste time on a rookie that hasn't played a single down yet? Strange days indeed.

Does anybody else have a problem with the rumored release of Josh Rosen? It seems a foolish and dangerous idea to go into the season with two QBs, one 38 years old and one who hasn't played a down in 18 months, hasn't taken a hit on his surgically-repaired hip and nobody has any idea, including himself (he's stated this) how he's going to react to that first hit. This seems to be taking a BIG gam

Quite right, JC, I made a silly mistake- that "g" should have been a "n" and I have edited it to say so. Thanks. (Lack of careful proofreading, I suppose.)

By now, we should be starting to look forward to the opening of training camp (whaddya mean, they don't call it that anymore?!) but this year, who knows what's going to happen? There are two things that are really bugging me this year: 1. Why can't anybody- not a single commentator, local or national- pronounce Tagovailoa's name correctly? there is no "u" or "n" in his nam

I hope so too, but for me the operative word is "develop"- these are first round picks, and I would hope that they could contribute sooner rather than later. On the other hand, even the best starting rookies across the league will need developing - but at least but they will be contributing while they learn.

I had to stop and go read Chris' article because I'm not feeling very good about this pick. The article did make me feel a bit better, but mostly I do believe that Brian Flores, Chris Greer and the rest of the braintrust have earned my support and the chance to prove that this kid is the real thing. I hope that they succeed.
