If Cards give up Boldin for a 2nd round pick, then they are dumber than a box of rocks! They hold the all the cards, pun intended, so they can choose to keep him and make him play or he sits out. I doubt he would sit out, but they will play without him either way, if they are smart. They'll get a 1st for him from someone, if they play the waiting game.

Heck, I'd trade the #25 pick for Boldin. They won't take anything less and if they do their stupid! There are no sure fire picks in the draft, let alone the 25th pick. Let's not forget that Roth just played his first season at OLB in the NFL. he didn't due that bad and the coaches seem to think he can get better. So to say he is not an every down player would be speculation. He may get better. This is a very good signing. I don't expect him to produce like he did in the CFL, but he really doesn't have to. If he can manage to get 8-10 sacks a year, that would help us out. 23 sacks is great, but he did that in 19 games, plus 2 playoff games. Also the level of talent, while better than college, is not the same as the NFL.
