Just for the record, I don't think that Ginn is currently #1 material either. I think maybe some of you are thinking that way. I just think he deserves the chance to continue to develop. Which he has been, so let's all hope he continues to do so. If not, he still would make a very good second WR if we go get a #1! And that's a big IF!

You obviously don't know much about WRs in the NFL. The folks in te NFL, that know far more then you or I will ever know, say the same thing that I have been saying. Most WR's take 3 years to develop! Ginn is just starting his 3rd year. He has not played 3 years, there is a difference! He has gotten better each year with his route running and recieving skills. His stats prove that! Know one in th

Ginn has not yet played 3 years in this league! He is just starting his 3rd year. If he continues on his current pace, he will gain over 1000 yards. if we went out and signed a WR that gained over 1000 yards in his previous year, you would all be jumping for joy at the idea of him playing for us! So, let's wait until the whole year has passed before we judge him.

Not true for most WR's! Most WR's inluding your beloved Welker took 3 years or more to get going! What you seem to be missing is that even Welker had to learn to play at the Pro level. Ginn's first year was on one of the worst football teams the NFL has ever seen! He has only played 2 games in his 3rd year and he has already gotten off to a better start than the previous 2 years. I'm not sure how

ChyrenB I have stated several times that Ginn should have made that catch. I am defending Ginn, because he deserves a fair shot at becoming a great WR in this league. His missed that opportunity and he might not on the next one. He played his first year for a really bad team and is just now starting to come around as a route runner. Most experst agree that it takes 3 years for most, not all,

Ted Ginn 5'11" 178 lbs Calvin Johnson 6' 5" 235 lbs Calvins breakout season came in his second year. He is a big pysical WR who is better than Ginn. However, it is silly to compare them, they are different types of WR's. Johnson can push people around and Ginn can't. That's why I compared him with the smaller guys.

He's a system QB and will be lucky if he makes it in the NFL! No thanks!

I agree with you that this is a different situation. However, the point I'm trying to make, is that Ginn is that type of WR. He is no where near as polished as Harrison and may never get there. But, he does deserve the chance to prove he can do that. There are very few WR's in this league, that if they had to start their career off playing for the same team Ginn has had to play for, would have fa

Ranger1, have you ever heard of Marvin Harrison? He always avoided hits as well! I guess you wouldn't want that type of player on our team as well! Ginn catches the ball over the middle on a consistant basis! He just knows that he is not going to run people over for extra yardage. So why try for a few yards and risk a fumble or injury? Get down and play another play! He helped put us in a positio

What about the pass? The pass to Fasano and Ginn were both off target. They were high and abit long. If Chad puts it on the money, then we don't have to dive or lunge for the ball, they are easy TD's! Everyone made mistakes last night, that could of helped us win the game. Ginn's miss is the most glaring one, because it was at the end of the game. However,as I have already stated, if Ginn doesn't

"Chad Pennington hooked up with Ted Ginn Jr. for 15 and 21 yards on key third-down plays during the Dolphins’ TD drive to take a 23-20 lead. On 3rd-and-4, Pennington hit Ginn for 11 yards during the final drive. With 27 seconds left in the game and Miami behind 27-23, Ginn could not come up with a long pass from Pennington with Colts rookie CB Jacob Lacey in coverage. The ball went o

Problem with taking away his other catches, you then take some of our points off the board! He made several key 1st down catches on 3rd down to keep drives alive. Drives that ended in points. He shold have made that catch, but he didn't. It happens to every WR in the league. The first quater miss was a poorly thrown ball, as was the one to Fasano! He had a fair chance at catching it, but lost tra

Colts are not a top ten team. They looked bad against the Jags and bad against us! They have a very good offense and a sorry defense. They won't go far!

You need to stop with the predictions! 14-2 is just as bad a prediction as 3-14! Or was that just a typo? I'm sure after next week, you'll give it another shot!

I guess you think that Marvin Harrison was a puss as well? Becuase he made a living out of falling to the ground. Ginn will never be able to run people over, he is not that type of WR! He simly doesn't have the build for it. Lanky WR's have always played that way! 11 catches for 108 yards, and several kept drives alive. Would you rather see him catch the ball for a first down, then fumble while t

Way to pat yourself on the back for getting 1 pick right! I'd call Sparano right now if I were you!

Our defense did not shut down their offense. They were out of sync, just like he said. They should have had a TD on the one play and missed to easy FG's. That adds up to 13 more points! If your beloved Pat White could throw the ball on target we still loose easly!

The name of the thread is "OFFICIAL Dolphins Season PREDICTION"! That's what I did. You can also call it guessing, because that's what it really is every year! At least it's an educated guess!

I see us going 7-1 or 6-2 at home. 4-4 is what I see with the road games. I don't see how we can win more than 11 games with a new secondary, especially with 2 rookies. We should make the play-offs and win at least 1 game. Super Bowl will have to wait until next year, but I will except being wrong about that!

Hilliard has looked good against back-ups and Cobbs has proven his stuff against starters in the regular season. This is pre-season people! Enough said!

Because, in the NFL it is hard enough to win, let alone win 7 to 8 in a row at the begining of the season. Especially when you have to play teams in their house to start the season off. It is not impossible, but highly unlikly that will accomplish that with or schedule the way that it is set up. I hope that you are right!

7-0 start? 9-0 start? That would be great, but it's not realistic!

His poise was average at best. He ook off running on one play after taking a glance at just 1 WR. He needs to learn patience. I'm sure he will be just fine.

Pat White looked great? What were you watching? He was in against players that won't be playing in the NFL this year. Relax, he's not the man! You have a feeling about Vontae? And after 1 pre-season game you think your right about that? Come on man, let's wait for time to go by before we start judging the rookies.

15-20 years ago a player that was in his 30's would be considered to be at the end of his career. that is not the case anymore, because todays players are in much better shape and take far better care of themselves then those of the past. Especially a player such as JT. In fact, most sports are seeing players play at a high level longer then ever before. Alot of players in the NFL don't see big d

Really? So why do most games in the NFL between the top teams and the bottom teams end with the top team usually winning by large margins. Go back and look at the stats, it is fact! Yes, there are occasions when crappy team makes it close or even win a game, but they are few and far between. The very good teams no how to put the crappy teams away and last year we didn't do that. We were much impr

I think what most people are trying to say, is that last season we had a pretty soft schedule and we struggled to handle some of the weaker teams in the league. The top teams in the league will usually handle the weaker teams when they face them. We did not! Are schedule only looks harder because we are playing the teams that finished at the top of their division or the league last year. We won't

Well, my brother spent several years in and out of jail and had multiple DUI's. His last time in jail he vowed to never drink again and start over. He did just that and for 15 years he was one of the best people you could ever know. He died of cancer 1 day before turning 41 and he was proof to me that people can change. Especially if they are still young enough to know they have a life ahead of t
